I'm glad the film's out on DVD, but a better treatment and actual, y'know, extras would have been nice. The scene selections/chapter stops are pretty weird too.

I've got a terrible urge to watch Mask of the Phantasm after reading that review. I've got it, World's Finest, and the unedited Return of the Joker on DVD (I'll probably never own Sub Zero unless they break out the series box set. I was never too fond of that video).

I want that boxed set, too. I don't care much about having the WB Kids stuff with Superman, but the actual old school B:TAS series on DVD would own all.

You know, I've not seen World's Finest yet, or the Unedited version of ROTJ. And the unedited version is the one I really cared about, too. The greatness of Phantasm is hard to top for me, though.

I wish WB would re-release the 1989 Keaton movie as a Special Edition with extras and a better transfer, as well as a re-release of Phantasm. I had read rumors a while back of that happening with the 89 film, but haven't heard much of anything about it since then.

And I didn't get into Sub-Zero, either.

SP, who would so buy Special Editions and Box Sets.

I read SP's review, and it rocks.

I bought my first DVD player with the original Batman movie yesterday and I'm excited... the only thing is... now, I need a RF Modulator.

Grrr!!

I remember having to get an RF modulator back when I first ventured into DVD and such. I have to use one with my current TV, too, when I can snag my nephew's PS2 for a bit.

I'd have thought by now they'd have gone down in price a bit, but I think I remember seeing you say it would be 29.99. Dang. Hasn't changed at all and I still think it's way too much for it.

Oh well.

Thanks for the feedback, though. ^_^

You can buy a DVD player from Wal-Mart for 59.99. Those converters though run about $30.
