Guest bob_barron Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Just an update- Looks like Jeb Bush is gonna win in Florida
Guest AnnieEclectic Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 I used to live in NH and I pay attention to the US elections as I may move back. With that in mind. If any, repeat -ANY- republicans make it in NH state house, or if Sununu wins the senate, I'm going to vomit. People screaming about taxes, big whoop. Sununu allowed buisnesses to get a loophole to put their HQ in bermuda to avoid taxes, and every repub there is against civil unions. no offense to any here, but fuck republicans. -Annie
Guest bob_barron Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Annie- Looks like the Repub candidate for governor won. Also- Elizabeth Dole won NC senator
Guest bob_barron Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 The incumbent in Texas for govenor won. Florida passed a ban on public smoking
Rob E Dangerously Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Ron Blagosomethingvich is the new Governor in Illinois
Guest AnnieEclectic Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Yeah bob, I had to open my mouth, currently the Reps are cleaning house except for senate where Sununu's leading but it's still up in the air -Annie

Guest bob_barron Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Pataki is winning to 51 percent to McCall's 30 percent right now. Go Pataki!!
Guest bob_barron Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 PATAKI WON!!!!!!!!!! YEA PATAKI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOUR MORE YEARS FOUR MORE YEARS
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Once again as a New Yorker, I weep. We must deal with Pataki giving us another 4 Years of NOTHING. Which is what he's done for us. We have a Sorry Mayor A Sorry President And once again, we have a Sorry Govenor.

Guest Slapnuts00 Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Dang..the Maryland Governor's race is pretty tight, Townsend leads by 7,000 votes with 44% reporting. And yes, it was a Simpsons reference...the episode is Marge vs the Monorail... Maryland Governor is really close. Kennedy-Towson: 50%, Ehrlich 49% with 66% reporting. GO BOB!!!! Im so pissed about Morella getting screwed, she's down 52 to 47 in favor of Van Hollen, as a result of redistricing. There's still time, but it dont look good...
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Damn Republicans......
Guest KoR Fungus Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Yay, Rendell wins! Maybe that means we won't lose tens of millions in appropriations next year. Our tuition went up 14% last year because Schweiker cut our funding, even though we're already getting the lowest amount of state support of any school in the Big Ten. That's the major issue for me, I don't want to end up paying $20,000+ a year for tuition so that PA citizens can get tax cuts that don't even apply to me.
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Here's an interesting election result: Nebraska District 3 119 of 746 precincts - 16 percent Tom Osborne, GOP (i) 29,548 - 92 percent Jerry Hickman, Lib 2,445 - 8 percent Osborne spent no money campainging.
Guest bob_barron Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 No shocker there- I mean- whose gonna vote against the god of nebraska?
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Maybe he'll hop up some funding to U-Pittsburgh, too.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Oh jeez..... Jed Bush won..... How many Votes are going to be found in a River near you.........
Guest Kingpk Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Romney wins in MA and the English Immersion question (Question #2) was approved. Now I hope the old, dumb, elitist Democrats choke on their croissants.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 PATAKI WON!!!!!!!!!! YEA PATAKI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOUR MORE YEARS FOUR MORE YEARS Like it was even in doubt? The man I wanted to win governor (a Republican, believe it or not, I told you I always support whoever is better for the job) won, but Lindsey Graham is now our new senator... which made me curse a lot. The Democrats were insane to run a Tax Increase campaign in Florida. Sad how they gave up on that state. Kotzenjunge Predicts Nationwide Republican Control Through 2010
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 "Yay, Rendell wins! Maybe that means we won't lose tens of millions in appropriations next year." With a big-spending Dem., EVERYBODY gets tens of millions in appropriations next year. Except for the people who actually EARN it. "I don't want to end up paying $20,000+ a year for tuition so that PA citizens can get tax cuts that don't even apply to me." PA citizens don't want their hard-earned $$$ being wasted in the higher learning system. It's a f'n joke how much is wasted. Jesse Ventura once said, "If you're smart enough to go to college, you're smart enough to find a way to pay for it." BTW: Am I the only one noticing the looks of shock on people appearing on CNN now that the GOP can actually take the Senate. Terry McAllufe (sp) looks like he took a crap in his pants. All campaign he's been talking about how his party is going to run all over Republicans. Now he's saying "Well at least we can get a majority of governors." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Bitch...
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Romney wins in MA and the English Immersion question (Question #2) was approved. Now I hope the old, dumb, elitist Democrats choke on their croissants. Wouldn't an Elitist WANT English Immersion? I take it that was some kind of law to encourage monolingualism. And the Republicans are the well-to-do stereotype, not the Democrats, even though the higher-ups in each party are equally well-off. Kotzenjunge Democrats Eat Buiscuts, Dammit
Guest ISportsFan Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Ron Blagosomethingvich is the new Governor in Illinois When I did the preview for the thread of IL governor, I had to look up how to spell his name TWICE. Anyway, HUGE mistake by my fellow citizens in Illinois for this one. In my opinion, of course. Blagojevich is not as good as Ryan, in my opinion again. When you pin something on a candidate that had to do with a completely seperate guy, it's just wrong and he should not lead my state. I can't wait until I can vote next year so I can have my insignificant ballot counted. Jason
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Pretty damn amazing, Maryland elects a Republican Governor.. Governor Ehrich and Lieutenant Governor Steele Im just glad Townsend didnt get elected, but I'll probably end up regretting that he did win..
Guest bob_barron Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Looks like the repubs are doing very well this year
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 (cough)9/11(cough) They sure are. Kotzenjunge Elephants Like Dumb Luck
Guest DrTom Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Elephants Like Dumb Luck And intelligent people hate trite, insulting little maxims like that. To chalk up the terrorist attacks of 9/11 as "dumb luck" for Republicans winning is an insult to the 3000 people who DIED conferring that "luck." Did it help? I'm sure it did, since Republicans tend to favor a strong defense, which is appealing to people in the afterhath of such a tragedy. But anyone who heartlessly considers 3000 of his dead countrymen to be "dumb luck" in a political race can be accurately described with a rhyming term: dumb fuck.
