Guest Machiavelli Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Right before I start I apologise if someone else has brought this up and I'm still not sure of the structure of this match but: Shawn Micheals HAS to be beaten down tonite so that he is not involved in the Elimination Chamber for a number of reasons If HHH takes him out it means the match down the line (WMXIX ?) will be worth so much more. If this is going to have shades of war games, Flair should be the first name in the hat because war games without flair is like the WWe without Austin: Sucktacular There NEEDS to be at least the same number of heels as faces if the War Games concept is going to take shape i.e. so that, at the beginning the face is able to beat up the heel until the toss is made and the heels have an advantage over the good guys, then the even odds are good for the faces and the cycle repeats itself until everyone is involved. This is how I see this going down. (1 & 2) Jericho Vs Booker Finally after weeks of ducking the bookerman is able to get his hands on Jericho beating him from pillar to post all over the caged ring when the 2 minutes are up and (3) Flair enters to get his ass handed to him by Book until Jericho & Flair team up to destroy Booker. When (4) Kane Comes in to even up the teams which gives Booker a rest and the opportunity for Flair and Jericho to make Kane look like a champ when (5) HHH Arrives to reset the advantage for the heels (maybe even breaking Flair out of the Figure four) and the 3 men can then start to beat the crap out of Booker whilst trying to stop the Big Red Machine from making a babyface comeback, and giving Flair chance to recover all the time Jericho is looking for a chance to get his shots in on HHH but doesn't want to upset the advantage that the 3 of them have. when finally (6) RVD Blows the roof off the place sprinting to the ring to take advantage of his opportunity. The match beyond begins with pinfall or submission elimination rules RVD pins Flair with the 5Star whilst Booker passes out in the Walls HHH pins Kane with the Pedigree An EMT who has come in to help booker, takes off his cap to reveal Shawn Micheals who Superkicks HHH into a VANDAMINATOR for the pin. Leaving Jericho and RVD where jericho is pissing blood (remember the match that started the Rock Feud last year?) and passes out to a RVD submission hold (I really cant think of one but he is bound to know at least 1) this means that RVD gets a win the following month over an Upper Mid Carder (Jericho) solidifying him as a main eventer and also keeps the possibility for the king of politics to claim he wasn't beaten by any of the men in the match. I'd like to know any of your thoughts. thanx Machiavelli
Guest Pop Culture God Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Some problems with your logic: 1. This isn't WarGames, and furthermore no one cares about how many heels or faces there are in the match. 2. The whole point of this match is to build to a HBK/HHH conmfrontation without this being the blow-off. Thus, we can have this match AND the WM XIX match. 3. Why would Flair try to take the title away from HHH? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Maybe Flair's tired of being HHH's hired monkey? <sarcasm>Wait, EVERYONE LOVES HHH. They LOVE to be that close to him.</sarcasm> Sorry, had to do that. Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I see the match going down something like this: The final 3 left are HHH, HBK, and RVD. Have HHH eliminate HBK with the Pedigree, and we're left with HHH and RVD. Both men fight for a good 5-10 minutes, maybe more, and eventually, HHH gets the Pedigree on RVD. HHH goes for the cover, but HBK runs back down to the ring, and pulls the ref out of the ring, Sweet Chin Music to HHH, 5 Star Frog Splash by RVD, 1-2-3, new World Champion. From here, they could start building to the HHH vs. HBK match at Wrestlemania 19, and it would be because HBK cost HHH the World Title. By the way, I'd like it better if Kane was in RVD's place, just because, but RVD would probably be better in this case.

Who are you? HHH?
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Yeah, make your new champion look like a weakling who needs help to win. Who are you? HHH? I thought my idea was pretty good. Anyways, RVD would of course redeem himself eventually. Maybe the next night on RAW, he could defend the World Title in a rematch against HHH, and beat him cleanly. You know HHH would be begging for a rematch on RAW the next night.

Or maybe since Flair and HHH are such good buddies they'd just double-team everyone and then Flair would lay down or something... after all, with 16 World Title reigns under your belt, one more ain't gonna mean a whole hell of a lot anyway. Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Actually, Flair in the match makes sense logically, HHH has needed Flairs help each week and they can play in the Flair-WarGames history... However, Shawn, even in his paralyzed state is a better and motivated performer then a unmotivate flair. It also sells the PPV better with Shawn anyways. People (marks) expect Shawn to take big bump. Guest Pop Culture God Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather see Shawn at 60% than most of the WWE at 100% right now.
Guest eirejmcmahon Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Ric Flair has no place on PPV, let alone in the main event of same. He's well past it and has nothing to offer, either inside the ring or out.

Eeeh, I still think that Ric Flair could be good for something. I could easilly see RIc Flair becoming a manager. He's sorta doing that right now. Hell, Billy Graham became a manager after his prime was WAY over.
