State of my favorite antihero

Since my comic collecting the last few years has been largely relegated to Preacher and Blade of the Immortal (all good stuff) I wondered what has happened to my favorite symbiotic madman. I read up to about 2/3 the way through the limited Venom series, where he was really quite sane, but now I here he's shithouse crazier than ever. Anyone have any info?

Unless he's ripping the heads off babies, they arent portraying him right, hes not from earth, he should not have a conscious or concern about how humans behave, or anything about social norms.

 

I used to be such a venom mark, but after thinking about it more, they made him such a pussy its not even funny, him teaming up with spiderman, wtf? The alien hates parker, the alien should spend it existance trying to kill him, yet it doesnt. Its an alien, it has no understaning or concepts of our norms, yet thats how the play him because he can be pg rated then, fuck that.

 

Sorry I'm just really pissed about how weak they've made him, his character portrayal(sp) is one of the main reasons I stopped reading marvel.

I Always found the moral ambiguity of Venom The fascinating point. The symbiote is a raging ball of hate. Brock Hates spiderman (exascerbated by the symbiote.) The fact that Brock was crazy, but had moral fiber, made the Venom character unique.

 

Dind't really agree with the pussyfying of the character, but Venom: The Madness was a GREAT spinoff that typified why I love the character.

 

Again, is he completely ripshit crazy again now?

Venom in the regular MU is currently hiding out and waiting to strike again. Eddie Brock had recently had his life gone to Hell and went back to his tired and played out routine of blaming Spider-Man for everything and went to attack him.

 

The attack failed and the last time Venom was seen, he was taking a bite out of the Sandman, which nearly killed Baker (Sandman).
