Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 I think she was marrying her GF.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Work related. Getting married was just something they're going to do while there.
Guest DrTom Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Work, education, and marriage, to be complete.
Guest Some Guy Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Where did she move and when/is she coming back?
Guest cynicalprofit Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Shes probably not, oh well, its not like we really know the person in person. I mean at a certain point everyone will stop posting here eventually. Didnt she work for the govt?
Guest DrTom Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 She moved to Switzerland, and will be gone a minimum of 4 years.
Guest bob_barron Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Four years without Marney???? The Liberals are gonna take over!
Guest Some Guy Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 They don't have the internet in Switzerland? It's kind of ironic that someone as blatantly not neutral as Marney would move to Switzerland.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 Four years without Marney???? The Liberals are gonna take over! Is that a bad thing? (passes money to Bob under the table) Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Leena Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 She moved to Switzerland, and will be gone a minimum of 4 years. Minimum is such a negative word... let's look for the maximum.
Guest subliminal_animal Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 I believe Switzerland does have the Internet. I don't know who this Marney thing is, but if it's gone a minimum or four years, it will never come back. I'm assuming most of the people with huge post counts weren't here when this place started up, and just took the place of the people with big post coutns who decided this Internet shit was stupid.
Guest Midnight Express83 Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Well, Four years with her is not a bad thing(for liberals) ITS A GOOD THING! Besides she is one of three people who believes Bush isn't an idiot.
Guest Some Guy Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 I guess I'm one of the others. Look at the approval rating, I'd say those who think he's and idiot are in a small minority.
Guest bob_barron Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 I guess that makes me #3. But SG is right- his approval rating is currently at 60%.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 You can still be a moron and do well at your job. I don't think he's an outright idiot, but it's such a step down from "Rhodes" Clinton. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Midnight Express83 Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 I wasn't saying he was a bad president, I was saying he is an idiot.
Guest bob_barron Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 It's pretty impossible to be good at a position such as the presidency of the United States and be an idiot
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 With speechwriters, an army of advisors and aides, spin doctors, and a Cabinet, any schmoe could be President. They might not do a great job, but they'd still be able to do it. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest DrTom Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 With speechwriters, an army of advisors and aides, spin doctors, and a Cabinet, any schmoe could be President. Whatever happened to respect for the office? If "any schmoe could be President," I think a lot more of them would run for it. I'm sure it's comforting to think that way when a guy you don't like holds the office, but the reality is that being President is a demanding, ever-changing, and thankless job. Not a lot of people are cut out for it, and some of those who are decide they don't want any parts of it. You're under a constant microscope nationally and internationally, and no amount of aides and speechwriters can cover for you constantly.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Ah, but you didn't notice where I said they probably wouldn't do a good job. And 200 or so people run for President every year. We only hear about three or four of the candidates though. I have boundless respect for the office (hell, it's one that I want one day), but I'm just saying that they really can have a community college graduate in that suit and have a President. Once again, they'd suck, but they'd still be believeable as long as they did everything they were told to. It is said that anyone can be President if they want to be for a reason. And I don't say this because I don't totally approve of the one we have now. I'd say the same thing if Gore had won also. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Not any shmuck can be elected president, but any shmuck has a chance at getting elected MAYOR of a small town! And that shmuck is me. Vote Oblivion in 2004.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 I would if I lived there, that is if I wasn't running also. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Can't hear you, Bo. Got something in your throat? Fo sheez, Kotzenjuneg
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Nah, this is just going to be one of those mini-discussions that get going for a page or two and taper off when someone gets it back on topic. In all honesty, it's probably over with this post, unless Kotz feels like being a smartass.
Guest Midnight Express83 Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Being a smartass is bad. Being against the current president is worse. Being a fan of Gore will get you killed(notice nobody admits that NOW?)
Guest cynicalprofit Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Besides she is one of three people who believes Bush isn't an idiot. No wonder I didnt like her. Sides she had a govt job, isnt it now illegal to be against the president if you do?(I know that if you trun your back to him at a college grad speech they will yank your diploma)
Guest SP-1 Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Because he's in an area where that word is common. I use it to, but not generally when I'm writing. SP
