What exactly is on it and is it worth 70 bucks?

At first I thought it was just every CD they had up until like '97 or so, someone please set me straight.

Billboard: Heat Seekers Chart #36

Notes: Copies from 1st pressing include the special Static Age case designed by a UK toy company. The box set was first advertised in several magazines in 1987, originally planned as a boxed reissue of four 7" singles. It contains CD reissues of all previous Misfits releases on Caroline Records. Due to the large amount of items included in the box set, many copies were accidentally distributed with more than one Fiend Club badge, or no badge at all. Several boxes also included mutiple copies of disc 1, disc 2, or disc 3. These pressing plant distribution errors were quite common and have no additional collector value.

4 CD's for 70 beans sounds good to me, considering you pay what...15-20 bucks each normally? Course, that depends on your country, but whatever.

Pretty much everything from the Misfits.

I don't count anything done from 1996 on.

i loved it when it came out, especially for the packaging and the nice booklet of all the lyrics (before heavy usage of the net and all)

i still need the samhain set.

the live stuff on the misfits set is rubbish but the rest is worth more that the price tag

Yeah, the box set is ultra cool, but it is not complete. Sure it has a bunch of rarities and all that, but Walk Among Us wasn't on there for legal reasons. Misfits (Collection I), Collection II, Walk Among Us, and Legacy of Brutality were all released before the Box Set. Owning all those would cost you in the realm of $60 and you would only be missing "Spook City U.S.A" and "In the Doorway", plus "Where Eagles Dare" is a great song, but even I get sick after hearing it five times while listening through the set.

Until the Dischord box set gets released, the Misfits box set will be the best box set that I own. It's got 4 cd's that are all worth listening to, and normally when I get a box set, there's at least one disc that kind of just collects dust. Not the case with this one.

The Samhain one I could have lived without ... I already owned it all anyways, and the video that comes with it is all Fucked up ... the tracking is off so I can't watch it.

Buy the Misfits one, forget the Samhain one.

I'd say that if you're a fan of Misfits or Danzig, the Samhein box set is more than worth listening to.
