Randy Johnson wins 4th straight CY Young

As one of the all-time great hurlers. Definatly the All-Timers like Young, Matthewson, Walter, Koufax, Alexander, Spahn, ect rank higher, so on that second tier with Seaver, Gibson, Marichal, Palmer, Carlton, Clemens, ect

Not too shabby company

Damn. Can't they just give it to Schilling for once?

NO! Curt must remain "Best Pitcher Never To Win Cy Young" (well since the award started in 1955 or so) After all, thats at least SOMETHING he can hang his hat on, after that he just becomes one of the also-rans of the era

:P

Not until he has a better year than Johnson.

Food for thought, Arizona signed Johnson to a 4 year deal in '99, and he's won the Cy Young every year. Has any free agent signing ever turned out so successful?

This is just a great pitcher we have witnessed over the course of the past decade or so.

Two of them... on the same team... only one can win.

I guess the taller, leaner, meaner, fastball-thrower wins every time. He did have a better year, in my opinion, so good for the voters.

I didn't pay that much attention to baseball during the regular season, but wasn't Schilling the supposed lock for the Cy Young at one point? Didn't he have like 20 wins and 18 walks?

Yes he was, but he lost his last two starts, while Johnson had another great September.
