Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Is it just me or did the Steiner promo that came out during Lance's speech about election day got zero pops? Another big hoss bites the dust, Vince keeps on investing money and his company on all these has beens like Steiner, Nash, Hall, HHH, UT, HBK,and on and on.Whatever happened to pushing new talent to the top instead of pushing the same old broken down stale wrestlers from the 90's? for example Vince would rather push the broken down HBK (who could only wrestle every couple of months)and push him like a legit contender for the title even though he's been out of wrestling for 4 years. You got guys like Y2J,RVDand Booker struggling to get to the main event level but the so-called top guys are not willing to give them the rub.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted November 6, 2002 I thought I heard a "We Want Scott Chant" during one of the matches.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted November 6, 2002 I think everyone knows we won't be seeing Scott until Survivor Series, so nobody cared.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Naw, didn't watch. At least it isn't likely that Steiner will injure himself in his first match back. I don't like Steiner at all, but they'll probably try to make the most of him while they have him. Realistically, I don't think he'll last, though.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted November 6, 2002 I thought I heard a "We Want Scott Chant" during one of the matches. How do you know it wasn't for Scott Vick? Yeah, yeah, I know...
Guest edotherocket Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Not that it'll make any difference if he gets pushed or not. Coming in to Survivor Series, I see the pecking order for the title shots being something like this Champ: Brock Contenders: 1. The Big Show 2. Scott Steiner 3. Lennox Lewis 4. Jesse Ventura 5. Triple H (title unification match) 6. Kurt Angle Look for Kurt to be transitional champ in Summer of 2003 baby! Champ: Triple H Contenders: 1. Shawn 2. Kane 3. The Rest
Guest I Fear Hogans Air Guitair Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Did anyone else here the "Katie Vick" Chant During the mainevent.
Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted November 6, 2002 That crowd was dead all night, though.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted November 6, 2002 There was NO audible noise during any of the entrances either. Either they had some kind of mic or audio problem, or the crowd was doing their best Katie Vick impression. Either way I am not jumping to any conclusions about Steiner. Booker T and RVD got 'crickets' too, doesn't mean we should panic over them.
Guest Smark Hammill Report post Posted November 6, 2002 This is too funny. Last year, smarks were all wanting Steiner, and now that he's going to the WWE, he's a "big hoss." Too funny.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Booker T always gets crickets unless he's yelling Sucka or doing the spinaroonie. The top three crowd reactions of the night that I heard were: "We want tables" during the Dudley match "SUCKAAAAAAA" Along with Booker T and an RVD chant while in a rest hold of all times. Last year, it would have, you know, MADE SENSE for him to be there. What with the InVasion and all.
Guest Brian Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Well, I always knew Steiner was worthless, but he did have some name value in a WCW-sense.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Steiner was good about 8 to 10 years ago or so. Then he got way too big.

Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Batista, big push...crickets Steiner, big push...crickets Van Dam, no push..he was already in the ring when they came back from commercial, hmmmm Triple H: "I want no telivised pops-uhhh, bigger then mine-uhh." It's been said a million fucking times. I'm not repeating anything. I'm stating my opinion. If others have happened to share it, than there must be a reason for it. I'm not going to search out everyones opinion on a subject to make sure that mine isn't the same.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted November 6, 2002 I completly agree with that...when Scotty could do the Frankensteiner I was a huge fan. But then he got too roided and only did power moves. They had to put the belt on him cause he was too damn big and scarey to do nothing with.
Guest BorneAgain Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Is it just me or did the (Scott) Steiner promo that came out during Lance's speech about election day got zero pops? Maybe they want Rick instead?

Guest RedJed Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Like it's already been said, that was a dead crowd in Boston, no pop for the vignette meant nothing.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted November 6, 2002 I wouldn't read much into it, if there are crickets for Steiner's first actual appearance they should start to worry. Raw is really in a bad shape right now, so I think that is where Steiner should end up. Unless they wanna put him on SMDN and trade some other guys to Raw to make it a bit more even. That Raw list of challengers is crap. I mean Shawn Michaels isn't even a wrestler anymore full time, and well we all know how Kane's push has gone. Van Dam.....push....please.... Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted November 6, 2002 I think that after WrestleMania, on the anniversary of the original draft, they should re-draft. They could make it an annual thing. It would keep the storylines fresh.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted November 6, 2002 I've said it one time. So don't tell me to give it a rest. Grow up. Not you bps. But pretty much everyone has been saying it for 6 years and it's not a big news flash. It annoys me when people say "He isn't as good as he used to be" like the rest of us don't or something. Guest Banky Report post Posted November 6, 2002 You guys are just jealous that Steiner has got a great natural body. Where you there when he shoot up 'roids? Where ya? Huh, punk, where ya? I didn't think so. Just because his muscles have muscles, doesn't mean he uses steroids. In all honesty, I don't look for Steiner to be putting on great match but c'mon, his act is pretty entertaining. He IS a complete freak, and I think its cool...if a funny sorta way. So am I looking forward to it? Yes.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Since he 'blew up' he went from one of the best workers in the world to average at best. BUT, his character, his charisma, his interviews, and, yes his 'look' have all increased 100-fold. In WWE terms, I'd say he's positioned himself well. Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted November 7, 2002 You guys are just jealous that Steiner has got a great natural body. Where you there when he shoot up 'roids? Where ya? Huh, punk, where ya? I didn't think so. Just because his muscles have muscles, doesn't mean he uses steroids. Sure, I believe ya. Love the tuff talk too. In all honesty, I don't look for Steiner to be putting on great match but c'mon, his act is pretty entertaining. He IS a complete freak, and I think its cool...if a funny sorta way. So am I looking forward to it? Yes. You know what's funny? How people are seriously expecting Steiner's Grand Entrance to lead to a positive increase in business, with absolutely no premise for such reasoning. Or maybe I missed it, so anyone can feel free to fill me in if they don't mind. At least I can see that reasoning with Goldberg, although without the streak he isn't half the name he is with it.
