Guest godthedog Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 oh, so YOU'RE one of the people responsible for 'the bicycle thief' getting knocked off by fucking 'better off dead'? you DESERVE to have your favorite movie voted out. Better off Dead is a 1980s classic...your Bicycle Thief has been seen by 11 people and shouldn't have been on the list in the first place cause no one has every heard of it. If one of these lists gets done again (by someone else) these obscure movies should not be allowed on, even though I take credit for adding Death Race 2000. don't blame me for your own ignorance. anybody who knows ANYTHING about film not made in america has heard of or seen 'the bicycle thief', and it's routinely voted by other filmmakers as one of the greatest movies ever made. millions of people have seen it, just not many people in the artificial universe that teenage males tend to make for themselves. and don't heap a word like "classic" onto 'better off dead' then dismiss 'the bicycle thief' just because you haven't taken the time to see it.

Man if my film professor heard you say that he'd kill you, cause Bicycle Theif is his favorite film, and having taken his Italian Neo-Realism class I have to agree it's a great work.

For the last time this isn't a tourney for the best movie ever....its a tourney for the Smart Marks' FAVORITE movie. Therefore if a lot of people have not seen "The Bicycle Thief" then it won't win. Simple as that. Sorry if it's your favorite.
