Daredevil Trailer

Recommended Posts

Guest raptor

So, to say I was sceptic about the new Daredevil movie would be an understatement. I mean Ben Affleck as Daredevil? It was bound for suckitude.

Then, I saw the trailer. BEST. TRAILER. EVER. I didn't even feel this way the first time I saw the Spider-Man trailer, and I was pumped for that. Either they did an excellent job with editing the trailer, or this movie will kick eight different kinds of ass. Best moment: Kingpin asks "how do you kill a man without fear?" Next scene, he looks straight into the camera and says: "get me Bullseye." KICK ASS.

I also saw the trailer yesterday, and I agree it really looked kick-ass, but I'm still not completely sold. DD is one of my favorites and I hope this doesn't turn out to be another Captain America-like crapfest.

Anyway, I'm highly optimistic and I'll give Ben Affleck the benefit of the doubt. He's a big DD fan as well so let's hope he gave it his all on this role.

Considering that the Captain America movie changed around a bit of his canon (Made Red Skull Italian instead of German), and the only thing Daredevil has done is just change the main villans skin tone I think it's safe to assume that DD will be a lot better

Just because a movie sticks to the exact facts doesn't mean it will be good. (Batman & Robin.) BTW, the Red Skull thing is pretty trivial, there were far worse things in Cap.

It'll be a great movie, hopefully, but it will never be as successful as Spiderman, unless Ben Affleck does a good job for a change

The only thing I liked about the Cap movie was the way he threw his shield. It always looked kinda cool. Other than that the rest was terrible. I mean, Cap should at least look like a bodybuilder, and I think I have a better build than that skinny guy with the rubber-ears costume. Give me a break.

Cap SHOULD NOT be some oversized bodybuilder. He should be the perfect man in every way physically. He should be built like part Martial artist and part gymnast. Powerful and Flexible at the same time.

Oh and what's with the Affleck hate? Only he can save us from the...

Yeah, you're right there. Even if you stick to the point, it doesn't guarantee a good story, but it does help to at least stay in the confines of the character. Take Batman, and turn him into a happy-go-lucky character. You may have a good story to tell, but it'll be soo out of his normal character that most everybody would hate it.

Well, maybe not an oversized bodybuilder, but at least he should look big, muscular, intimidating. After all, according to the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, he's able to bench over 700 pounds and that requires a big frame. Sorta like Van Damme: muscular, agile, limber (taller, of course) but not quite like Brock Lesnar or someone like that. Does anybody remember the guy who did the second Cap TV movie? He had the perfect look for Cap, IMO. Too bad that movie sucked.

I'm in no way a Ben Affleck hater. I think he's done some good movies but I'm somewhat doubtful if he can pull this role off, but like I said, he's a well known DD fan so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and trust that he'll stay true to character, given that the script is faithful, too. Still, I'm excited about this movie on all fronts, so unless it's total crap I'll stand behind it.

Captain America is *not* some martial artist or a gymnist.

He is a soldier.

Howie Long has all of the tangibles to play Captain America. He has the perfect build to look like Cap and covers the phyiscality requirements for such a character. Cap let's his actions speak louder than his words and this would cover Long's limited range of acting and has just enough charm to pull off Cap's likability as someone who can be compassionate but also dangerous.

I'm assuming that you are talking about Matt Salinger (son of novelist J.D. Salinger).

Care to expand on this empty opinion? Just curious.

That movie has to overcome the fact that it used "Bodies" in the trailer. That didn't do anything to help me build faith in this movie. I'm not saying that this movie will suck ass, but I took that as an ominous sign.

Have you seen the trailer that has been shown in movie theaters and upcoming movies shows pinnacle?

I haven't been to the movies since the summer, so I've only seen the one that accompanied the link. "Bodies" can make anything seem cheesy.

I can't find the trailer that was shown in movie theatres but needless to say it gave you a better idea of what you can expect from the DD movie. It's better than the "Bodies" trailer but it still did not give me a lot of faith in the movie's final product.

I'm not sure on the name, but if you say so, Sass, then I guess that's the guy. I'm referring to the guy's build and his typical blond-american looks. I believe he looked just the part.

And please don't confuse this guy with the first Cap wannabe, with that awful costume variation. I'd rather forget I ever saw that crap movie.

Actually, I did confuse the two together. Salinger was the one who played Cap in that God-awful movie. I do not know right off hand the other guy you are talking about.

My mistake.

Sass, you misunderstood me. My staement was pretty vauge. I meant that Cap should look like Apollo in the Greek mythos, he is muscular but not hampered at all.

In a word, perfect.
