Guest Kingpk Report post Posted November 7, 2002 It's football, guys hit each other. NFL Blitz is just an exaggeration of that made to look cartoonish. I don't get the point of that article.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted November 7, 2002 Ha. I remember back when NHL '93 came out for Genesis there was some grumblings over how a player on the losing end of a fight fell down and bled profusely. I guess a certain reporter didn't have any ideas for a column with an uncompromising deadling swiftly approaching...
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted November 7, 2002 Besides, NFL Blitz is funny. "Oooh, you hate to see that!" (to someone behind him) Can we take a look at that again? "Oh, he decapitated him!... oh wait, that's his helmet. Damn!"
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 7, 2002 NFL Blitz is also a very stupid game. If i want easy cartoony football I'll go buy an Original Nintendo and play the far superior... Super Techmo Bowl Back to topic... I will never buy a football video game again if they put fines for hits in the games.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted November 7, 2002 you know what, that is a good idea to have fines, drug testing and spouse abuse in the game for franchise mode.... i highly doubt it would work
Guest Leena Report post Posted November 7, 2002 This guy who wrote this is an idiot... You can set the Madden game so there will be no penalties for roughing the passer. That way you can get some really ugly hits. Why does the NFL approve of that? Fucking moron.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 7, 2002 I didn't read the whole article and after reading that I'm glad I didn't. That's just flat out stupidity. As if turning that off makes for bigger and better hits..
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted November 7, 2002 I haven't played a hockey game in a while, but I remember you could fight in the last one I played (NHL Breakaway 99 I think it was..)..it was pretty cheesy but I guess they'll be bashing that too. That way you can get some really ugly hits. Why does the NFL approve of that? Fucking moron. Wait, can you actually set the game so that there isn't roughing the passer? I didn't even realize that. I get called for that several times a game. That article was one of the worst things I've ever read. What exactly is he trying to say? I'm sure that the reason that NFL defensive players have been hitting with their helmets is because they've played too much Blitz.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 7, 2002 Yes you can turn off every penalty if you want to in Madden. The only one i turn off is roughing the kicker because i can't stand that rule. Also i like nailing the field goal kicker after the kick is off when i can get past the defense. I've injured a few kickers like that. I had one team down to kicking Field Goals with Gus Frerotte. Guest Leena Report post Posted November 8, 2002 LOL You have to play around with the sliders if you want something resembling football in the Madden series.
