Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 March 8, 2003 I don't know whether its a hoax, some sort of publicity stunt, or the real deal, but Art Bell (Late Night Radio show host) bit on it and now its getting a lot of attention. Personally, I figure its hyping a movie or something like that..
Guest The Electrifyer Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Meh.... even if the photos are released, how will we know they are real photos?
Guest papacita Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 If the government has the kind of control over the net that he claims, what would keep them from destroying the images and shutting his site down? Ladies and gentlemen...I smell a hoax...or fish...it could be fish... Edit: Forget the first question.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Gee, I'm on the edge of my seat. Whatever could it be? Pics proving Britney Spears is no longer a virgin?...
Guest SP-1 Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 I think it's a publicity stunt for a movie, too. It's too well written and long winded and the words a bolded for too much dramatic effect for some guy who is supposedly on the run. Not to mention, all the web domain names he has listed had to be registered and paid for. As much as I love my friends and would support them however I could, I wouldn't register a bunch of domains in addition to supporting them as they ran from what appeared to be a dangerous situation. I smell publicity stunt. Or flat BS. Whichever. SP
Guest J*ingus Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 This is the exact kind of bullshit which pisses me off. Here we have some kind of secrect conspiracy theme, who: 1. Is SO good that they can hack into someone's computer and tap their phone the INSTANT they search for certain words (despite that being physically impossible, especially phone tapping) and have a team at his front door twenty minutes later, no matter where he lived. BUT 2. They're SO incompetent that they couldn't even destroy a damn roll of film properly, and missed the guy hiding behind a fucking bush right beside his house as they walked by. Yeah. Right. Fuck off.
Guest Leena Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 Like SP said, all those domain names had to be paid for... so it's poor hype for some crappy movie coming next year. Snore.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 That's all bullshit. It's either hype for a movie, or some guy who has nothing better to do with his life.
Guest dreamer420 Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 You should be able to find out who created and paid for that website.
Guest RepoMan Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 That's some of biggest bs I've ever read. If someone wanted to destroy the flim, all they would have to do is open up the camera and expose the film.
Guest Leena Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 There was some Canadian site that showed the owners of every domain... blast I can't remember it.
Guest Ace309 Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 Apparnetly it was registered through a proxy to avoid that, according to Snopes.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 I don't know about you, but I'm excited about this! Just hope I don't forget to check back on March 8th. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Youth N Asia Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 Well, it's total crap...but an entertaining read anyway
Guest DJ Jeff Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 I'm thinking that's when the new Matrix movie is going to be released. Well, that's from what I've read from other sites regarding this. Still, it's just a bunch of bullshit.
Guest franchise632 Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 Since I never come in this particular area of the board, I wasn't aware that this topic had been posted, I posted the same basic thing in the Current Events folder. I find this sort of thing intresting, regardless of it be fact or fiction. A couple of points though. One the NSA can pretty much tap into any phone line it wants to. They don't have to go in and plant a bug. With all the digital upgrades its easy for them. Two, I don't doubt that the goverment tracks out movment on the internet, and with the hightend state of alert with the "war on terror" if you start playing with the right words, and are looking for things that might be supicious they will flag it. Just like if you mention words over the telephone like, bomb, president, white house, or any of probably hundereds of words, they will be analyzed. Three, as far as two agents being able to get to his house within 20 mins, if you live in a major metro area, chances are you have an FBI office nearby, and agencies like the CIA and NSA have cover offices all over. Fourth, i have had my computer hacked into by a neighbor who was just messing with us, and the exact thing the guy discribed happend, so i know for a fact that is possible. Regardless if this is real or not, it got me kind of excited, if for no other reason that its something to talk about. See ya on March 8th '03.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 It may be just an ad for a movie, but it could be a good movie. Color me intrigued. EDIT: What color would that be, exactly?
Guest Vern Gagne Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 The Yeti does exist. The reason this guy is waiting until March 8th is because he needs to make the Aliens look realistic.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 How does one make something we've never seen before look realistic? Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge EDIT: I shouldn't have re-read that this late at night. I'm petrified now.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 Ummm... right. If I remember I'll probably end up checking it out anyway, but it seems too absurd and contradictory to me - not only could the site be easily hacked and removed by then, but it seems that whoever's tracking him would have certainly got a hold of him by then. Significance to the date? If he wants to push a Doomsday Prophecy it'd be nice to get some advance notice. I'd like to at least pick up a hooker and lose my virginity before Armageddon.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 You wouldn't be "losing" your virginity. You'd know exactly where it went...
Guest welshjerichomark Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 man i hope its something really good, 'cos i have a catering assesment that day which determines whether i pass the subject or not
Guest Dace59 Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 Something big, well it'll be my 17th birthday, but that's not really big </ego>
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 Hmmmmmm....I REALLY want to know what happens.........
Guest Youth N Asia Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 I got a "Page Not Found" Error The Man has shut him down
Guest T®ITEC Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 I got the "Page Not Found" error too. So what did it say? The day before my birthday... a Saturday.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 Awww damn its down. Now I'm going to live my life never knowing what that site had to reveal.
