Guest Nathan J Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 Just wondering what people who have seen Best of Raw Vol 1 & 2 think of it, and whether its worth buying. Thanks for your thoughts.
Guest Si82 Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 Well I have it and I quite enjoy it too. If you like "sports-entertainment" then get it but you ain't gonna find many good matches here.
Guest bob_barron Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 My review of it will be up at 411 very soon
Guest pochorenella Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 I have it and I think it's totally worth buying, specially if you get it for $19 or less.

Guest HartFan86 Posted November 8, 2002 Report Posted November 8, 2002 It's worth buying. You get so much fucking footage it boggles your mind.
Guest Nathan J Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Thanks people. I can get it for Under $AU 30 (about $US 16). Ill pick it up soon. I remember enjoying the Rock Vs HHH "I Quit" match, I was pissed at the ending, but back then i was a mark. Whats youre thoughts on that match.
Guest bob_barron Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 From my upcoming review- The Rock v. HHH (w/Chyna) in an I Quit Match for the WWF Title Slugfest- HHH wins and hits the high knee. Rock bails. Back in- HHH with the high knee and he works him over. Rock hammers away but HHH tosses him out and baseball slides him. Rock decides to walk away but HHH catches him and punches him. They brawl by the entranceway with Rock controlling. Cole claims the RR match between The Rock and Mankind “went fourty minutes. HHH beats him on the ramp. HHH: Come on Rock say it. The Rock: The Rock is gonna kick your monkey ass- HHH rams his head into the steel ramp a bunch of times and they brawl around the ramp. Rock rams him into the timekeepers table. Rock does some commentary pissing of HHH and they brawl by the table. HHH whips him into the crowd and they brawl into the crowd with Rock nailing him with something inflateable. HHH chokes him with the chord. HHH: Come on Rock- say it. Say it or I’ll choke you. Rock: You go to hell you piece of s- HHH whips him into the ‘unforgiven’ steel steps. HHH gets the bell and hammer but Rock punches him and hits a DDT. Rock lays the ring bell on his face and grabs the hammer and does the coolest Corporate Elbow ever. Rock: Now you tell the millions and millions of the Rocks fans that your rooty poo ass says I Quit. HHH: SUUUUUUUUCK IT! Rock hammers away but walks into a facebuster. Pedigree but HHH decides to continue punishing him. He sends him into a cameraman and Pedigrees him into the floor. HHH again decides to continue kicking his ass via a Pedigree on the table. The Corporation come in and grab Chyna and threaten to chokeslam her unless HHH says I quit which HHH does. Bad ending to a pretty good match that picked up after a slow start. *** HHH and Kane stare each other down but Chyna SWERVES!~ us all and lowblows HHH. Corporate beatdown results. Vince hugs Chyna.
Guest Nathan J Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 Thanks Bob. That match would also be interesting to watch just because of how different these two characters now are. Was this the last match between HHH and The Rock before though both turned?
Guest papacita Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 HHH and Kane stare each other down but Chyna SWERVES!~ us all and lowblows HHH. Corporate beatdown results. Vince hugs Chyna. As sad as it may sound, that's one of my all-time favorite Raw moments. Was this the last match between HHH and The Rock before though both turned? I think so. After this, HHH went into the feud with Chyna, Kane and Shane and pretty much took a backseat role to X-Pac until his turn at WM.
Guest Bricks Posted November 9, 2002 Report Posted November 9, 2002 The best part of that match, if I remember right, was... The Rock: You're half gay anyways, so quit. Or something like that.
cawthon777 Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Def recommended. The Mankind / Rock "THIS IS YOUR LIFE" is on there, Jericho's debut, face Kane / heel Triple H vs. Rock / Mankind, Test / Bulldog in a cage, Kane killing the Phoenix Suns gorilla right before WrestleMania XIV, Triple H dressing up as Goldust and using a flame thrower on Kane right before WrestleMania XV, Triple H / X-Pac vs. Shane / Kane with the Euro title on the line, etc. The only thing I found upsetting was the lack of Owen Hart and the fact that several of the dates listed on the extra segments are WAY off.
Guest packwingfn Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Dont forget the Dude Shack or the Love Shack, Whatever it was called, is on the DVD lol.
