Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted November 8, 2002 If either of them was a halfway decient wrestler I could deal with this...but no matter how much Cole puts Torrie over she's still not any good, and neither is Dawn. Between matches and bikini contests Torrie's now 34-0 against Dawn...and yet they still feud. And she'll probably go over every other time as well. When Al said "I'm going to thing ring" tonight I was thinking, "What the hell does he get to go to the ring, he doesn't do anything!" This whole thing with Dawn nailing the old guy just isn't entertaining televison. Just end it...I don't know if Al is her real dad or not, I'd imagine he is, cause otherwise they'd hire a real actor. Guest Dillon Likes Bossman Report post Posted November 8, 2002 BUT IF the feud ends...."I'm going to kill myself, swear to god!" Besides Tazz gets to mock people....and I've learnd this muhc in the past few weeks...I'n a Tazz announcing mark. "Ya gotta respect that, its cool". I agree it sucks. Guest buffybeast Report post Posted November 8, 2002 The Tazz and Michael Cole announcing was the only good thing about that segment.
Guest papacita Report post Posted November 8, 2002 The segment would've been 10 times better if they added a Torrie/Dawn catfight with Al in the middle.
Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted November 8, 2002 The feud won't end until we get a Torrie/Torrie's dad incest angle. The WWE has to top necrophilia somehow.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted November 8, 2002 The weird thing is that they couldn't think of anyone besides Torrie's dad for this angle. As my dad said so well: "They have all sorts of hot women in the WWF, and the only guy getting any action is Torrie Wilson's dad?" I was also baffled as to why Al Wilson would even be allowed to go to the ring. I mean it's not like he's the talent or something, he's merely Torrie's dad who was there for a night visiting and is sticking around mainly to nail Dawn. He's not a wrestler or manager, so how could he make announcements in the ring?
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted November 8, 2002 One thing I dislike about the feud is it seems like Torrie always wins
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted November 8, 2002 The Tazz and Michael Cole announcing was the only good thing about that segment. No, the best thing was the "Shut Up and Hit Somebody" sign in the crowd
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2002 The best part of that whole segment last night? THe commercial break that followed it. >=D
Guest notJames Report post Posted November 8, 2002 What's the point of airing a bad segment when your commentators are just going to tool on it? Granted, Tazz was pretty funny when he said "Al Wilson's expressing hasn't changed since 1973", but self-aggrandizement is no way to sell this feud. And like it's been said before, why does Torrie keep winning? What's the point of Al Wilson hooking up with Dawn Marie? Will he force the loyalty hand on his daughter to make her lose to her new stepmom? Will Dawn Marie eventuallly break Al's heart, forcing Torrie to exact revenge, when she's been besting her at every turn anyway? I think this is Heyman's attempt at infusing a little crap into the goodness that is SmackDown so as not to show up RAW too much. Yeah, like that'll help... Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted November 8, 2002 How dare Al Wilson make out with Vince's chicks. There ain't room for 2 old perverts. We need a hoochie on a pole match between Al and Vince headlining WrestleMania 19.
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted November 8, 2002 Maybe the writer's think this is a compelling storyline. Hopefully they end it soon.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2002 I think the only way that they'll end this storyline quickly is if Al Wilson has a sudden heart attack. ...then again, they may not even end it then, knowing WWE.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted November 8, 2002 Maybe Al's rich and this is how they'd bring in Anna Nicole Smith? (Rumored to happen a while ago). ANS is almost as BUTT-ugly as Missy Hyatt is now.
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted November 8, 2002 That segment sucked. It was funny when Al said he would kill himself for Dawn though....in a very pathetic way. But they muuuuuuuust end it.
Guest RenegadeX28 Report post Posted November 8, 2002 This angle really blows...........I bet next week........... "Come join the Smackdown roster, as we celebrate Al Wilson and Dawn Marie's wedding vows!" Cole: Look at Al! Tazz: Look at Dawn!
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted November 8, 2002 Does Torrie Wilson EVER lose? vs. anybody?
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2002 Does Torrie Wilson EVER lose? vs. anybody? As I said in the Women's division thread that I typed up, in her match with her, Torrie lost to Molly Holly when Molly was the Women's champion.
Guest candie45 Report post Posted November 8, 2002 I laughed at Tazz when he said "I feel bad for anyone watching this." 2 Things I hate about this angle: 1) It sucks. 2) It will make my dad think "Well, if Torrie's dad can marry Dawn-Marie, would it be so bad if I asked my girlfriend to marry me?" I swear, I heard that little speech Torrie got from her dad before he went to the ring like a million times before because I refused to meet his girlfriend. I was like hey, dad, sound a little familiar? (BTW... I finally met the pop's gf this past weekend.)
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted November 8, 2002 Tazz was the one thing that saved the Al/Dawn segment last night. He was hilarous and very honest about what was going on there. I'm glad the WWE allowed Tazz to verbally rip on the angle because there is no good way for this story to turn out.

Guest DragonflyKid Report post Posted November 8, 2002 I hope next week Linda McMahon comes out to chastise Al for sleeping with a younger woman as it brought back memories of Vince having affairs. This will then lead to a 30 minute verbal confrontation between Al and Linda that will surely = excitement. I wish they would drop the whole angle immediately, don't even finish the damn thing, next week just pretend it never happened, Al Wilson never appeared on WWE television. I wonder if they realized the angle and segment were flops thus decided to bury it in post-production with Tazz and Cole's commentary. I wonder how Torrie must feel being degraded every other week then having her father in an awful angle and getting dissed legit by the announcers.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted November 8, 2002 How long til Torrie develops another eating disorder over this.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted November 9, 2002 Hell compared to the shit I've seen lately on Raw the Al/Dawn angle is great. And compared to the Billy and Chuck wedding this is ok. At least this angle involves a man and a woman, and both are alive. Well if you count Al Wilson as being alive.
