ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2002 All righ...here's a basic thing to talk about, outside from the production problems WWE has had recently... Ever notice that nowadays, WWE tends to overload T-Shirts? It seems that any new shirt that they make, they put too many things on it. Case in point? Now, if they just kept the front alone how it is, I think that this shit could be very effective. Most people who get this shirt probably would wear a jacket with it...because the front is the best. Another example... Now this is one of the better ones of this example, but still...is that quote on the back REALLY needed? Simplicity works. Look at the nWo T-Shirt...one of the most famous shirts in history...got over with just the simple nWo logo on the front of it. Look at the majority of Hogan's shirts. NOTHING on the back (mostly because of the 3 tears in the back for the shirts in the past). Just a simple "Hulkamania", "Hulk Rules" or the such on the front. Memorable. "Austin 3:16" and "What" are Austin's 2 most memorable shirts. Sure they had something on the back, but how many people really remember THAT much? Plus, it was a simple logo. Similarly was the classic DX shirt. Simplicity is the key. Do you guys agree or disagree? [And I was bored, hence this post.]
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted November 9, 2002 The HBK shirt is probably one of the better shirts they've put out lately... This makes me think of all the HHH shirts with some sort of stupid phrase on the back thats rather pointless.. And did you purposely forget the R in the title? Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Report post Posted November 9, 2002 With some shirts, yeah. But when they overload shirts, very few of them come out good (ex. Jericho or RVD shirts or even HHH shirts) And now that I think about it, the first Mysterio shirt with the mask on the back and the Brock shirt with the "He Is The Next Big Thing" were overloaded. ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2002 Not enough RVD t-shirts. End of story. Eh, so? The RVD Skeletal Dragon shirt they just put out with him is pretty good.
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted November 9, 2002 I don't completely agree. I think they can put stuff on the back, just not stupid quotes in big, block letters such as "DON'T HUNT WHAT YOU CAN'T KILL" or "WHOOP! THERE IT IS!" That stuff shouldn't be seen on any form of clothing. I actually think that '619' shirt is fine. If it weren't for Mysterio looking as cool as he does, I might not think that way. Sometimes I'm an advocate of block letters...but not on the back. ...well, OK...only 2 times really. The Hulk Rules shirt and the Hulk Still Rules shirt. ^^; Yes, I'm a Hogan mark as well as a Molly mark.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted November 9, 2002 I prefer a shirt with too much than a simple shirt I don't feel comfortable wearing. I'm both socially meek and physically weak, and there was a time when pretty much every shirt was inspired by their "JUST BRING IT" one. In an area where youth and their gangs beat each other up over the stupidest things, I don't want to be wearing a shirt that says "Try me, I'll make you famous." I don't mind looking like a wrestling dweeb, since 60% of my shirts are from anime or Las Vegas casinos, and 10% are from Disneyland. The only "bring it" style shirt I loved was "I WILL MAKE YOU TAP OUT," just because it's so over-the-top, and the tap out bit references submission sports instead of just saying "I can kick your ass." Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted November 9, 2002 Worst shirt ever was the Rock's most recent one:"You Bring The Ass.."
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 9, 2002 Is there a T-shirt that says "SUCKAAAAAAAA" on it? Cause there ought to be.

I loved that shirt. Whenever someone said "You can't make me tap out" I went for the Crossface/Ankle Lock. WHO IS THE BITCH NOW?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted November 9, 2002 Is there a T-shirt that says "SUCKAAAAAAAA" on it? Cause there ought to be. Yes there is actually. Just like there should be a shirt with Ric Flair's Whoooo! on it.. But instead we get this little (no pun intended) number: Caption for the people with good vision: WOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO! Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted November 9, 2002 I always was a fan of the "Victim of the Crossface" shirt with the broken bone on it. That was BAD ASS. I think they need to have a shirt that says "I had sex with Katie Vick's Corpse, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!"
Guest Ram Report post Posted November 9, 2002 http://www.s-ovation.com/goods/wwf/stars/benoit.html The PROVE ME WRONG phrase on the back kind of hurts it, though. I don't want to get stabbed by some dumbass. I love the barbwire Y2J shirt..but, really, LIGHTEN UP JUNIOR!!!? http://www.s-ovation.com/goods/wwf/stars/jpg/ec.jpg http://www.s-ovation.com/goods/wwf/stars/jpg/ec-r.jpg THAT shirt is hizzat. Guest RenegadeX28 Report post Posted November 10, 2002 A shirt that I really hated....that Angle shirt with all his achievements. Waste of money.......
Guest The Superstar Report post Posted November 10, 2002 No, actually that shirt KICKED ASS and it sucks that they never actually released it.
Guest RenegadeX28 Report post Posted November 10, 2002 I could have sworn they released it....oh well.... Those Smackdown and RAW shirts that were made.......NOW THAT is a waste of money......
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2002 I could have sworn they released it....oh well.... Those Smackdown and RAW shirts that were made.......NOW THAT is a waste of money...... The Angle Accomplishments shirt was never released, which pissed me off. The Smackdown and Raw shirts...I guess they figured if WCW could release shirts promoting Nitro, they could release shirts promoting their shows. Besides, it was to help furhter make the split well known, I believe.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted November 10, 2002 all the WWE finacial Problems would be solved if they just bust out some Haku Shirts! Hell I bet Funaki's Smackdown #1 Announcer shirts are selling. I think We Smarks should develop a T-shirt and sell them at stadiums, Shirts that Reflect alot of the signs in the stands.. SHUT UP AND WRESTLE!
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2002 SHUT UP AND WRESTLE! Does that mean we should also create some "HHH SUCKS!" shirts?
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted November 10, 2002 How about some "You Screwed Bret!" t-shirts? *falls on deaf ears* Anyway, I remember when they spelled spinaroonie wrong on one of Booker T's t-shirts. That was pretty bad.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2002 How about some "You Screwed Bret!" t-shirts? WWE would probably tell security people to have anyone with a "You Screwed Bret" shirt trade their shirt for a WWE shirt.

ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2002 Didn't the spell Flair's name wrong on a shirt? If you're talking about his most recent run in WWF/E, then no. They only had the "WOOOOOOOO (et al)" shirt. Previous shirts? Not sure.

I thought the latest one had "Rick Flair" somewhere on it. I miss the Edge & Christian shirts. I got accused of being a religious nut wearing one of those. SHUT UP AND WRESTLE! That reminds me, there was a sign on this week's Smackdown that caught my attention. I think it was either during Big Show's speech or the Al Wilson segment: STOP TALKING AND HIT SOMEBODY!
