Guest cynicalprofit Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 WWE To Send Talent To WWA In Exchange For Steiner Posted By Ashish on 11.09.02 In a somewhat shocking agreement, WWE has agreed to send talent to the WWA for WWA's upcoming European tour in exchange for not having Scott Steiner work the tour. Steiner, now signed with WWE, had already agreed to work the WWA European tour which runs from 11/28-12/13. It is not confirmed which WWE names will be working the WWA European tour, but Perry Saturn and the Godfather seem to be the favorites right now. WWA also has the problem of Scott Steiner currently being their Champion. Credit: 1wrestling.com STUPID STUPID STUPID. Take a name star for use of 2 guys who are lazy ubber jobbers. Dumbasses. Should have sued if he didnt show, or demanded a million dollars to get him.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Well, actually Saturn is a big star comapred to what they've got. Sort of how Jimmy Snueka was huge for ECW even though he was nothing in the Big Two at the time.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Well, actually Saturn is a big star comapred to what they've got. Sort of how Jimmy Snueka was huge for ECW even though he was nothing in the Big Two at the time. Exactly. Or how Road Dogg could easily be a main eventer in either NWA-TNA or in WWA.
Guest Trivia247 Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Its to the Regular Fan a difference... they POP if they see some midcarder that was in the Olympus of Wrestling WWF. in a Smaller Indi fed they would become Main event Calibur.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 This could mean that we'll see Steiner debut before December. Hey, maybe he'll be at the Survivor Series. As for Saturn and the Godfather going to the WWA, well, they weren't really being used in the WWE. Maybe in the WWA they'll be used more.
Guest Human Fly Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Isn't this the tour that Sting and Lex Luger are supposed to be on too? For a fed that has had Bret Hart appear, as well as Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett and now Sting and Lex. Saturn and Godfather aren't really that big of a deal.
Guest Celtic Jobber Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 WWE got ripped off! Saturn is atleast 100 times better than Scott Steiner is.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Godfather sucks. I hope he dies tomorrow.
Guest dreamer420 Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 I'm betting Steiner will be debuting sometime soon, if the WWE is actually sending some of their talent to the WWA. There must be more to this story because the WWE would have no problem telling the WWA to go fuck themselves and they probably wouldn't even worry about a lawsuit. They did it while Eddie Guerrero was the WWA cruiserweight champion.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 To the average fan Saturn adn Godfather are not main event caliber. I mean Staurn has a smart mark only fan base, and you dont have to be smart to know Godfather is NOT a good wrestler. Even if you stick them top card, everyone will know its a joke.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 WWE got ripped off! Saturn is atleast 100 times better than Scott Steiner is. I like the way the celt thinks% Really though. Fuck Steiner.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Saturn is still employed? I thought he was injured for like, the past year and a half or something and released. As for the Godfather, he seems to disappear and reappear as well, and since neither gets a reaction (except Godfather in Nevada) from the average crowd, might as well give 'em to someone who might use them for something.
Guest Ram Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 I think the real question is...would YOU trust Vince McMahon?
Guest papacita Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Well, actually Saturn is a big star comapred to what they've got. Sort of how Jimmy Snueka was huge for ECW even though he was nothing in the Big Two at the time. True, but based on name recognition and drawing power, do you think that ECW would trade a Hogan or a Savage for Snuka?
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 WWE could easily send Val Venis, Perry Saturn, Bull Buchanan, The Godfather, Albert, and a few other guys who are jobbers to them but atleast upper midcarders for WWA. It's not like WWA is any real competition, or they're gonna miss the guys they send.
Guest TheAnvil Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 WWE To Send Talent To WWA In Exchange For Steiner Posted By Ashish on 11.09.02 ...WWA European tour which runs from 11/28-12/13. Look...for the love of God...they're only gonna work a 2 week tour. It's not like they've traded them permanently. They're just gonna cover his spot on the two week tour. You're all acting like it was a baseball trade or something, and they're never coming back.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 True, but based on name recognition and drawing power, do you think that ECW would trade a Hogan or a Savage for Snuka? If they knew that losing Hogan or Savage was inevitable, I think they would get what they could before they left.
Guest AndrewTS Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 WWA's still around? I thought it had already folded. They don't really appear to be a "real" federation do to the way they are run.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 I think WWA simply chose not to do PPVs anymore, due to NWA-TNA being around. As of now, I think all they do is go on overseas tours. And evenflow, Saturn was injured in Spring of this year, and has been out since then. He wasn't released, but based on his contract being up in Janurary, he may be gone soon anyway.
Guest Choken One Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 Which is good for Saturn, since he can make a good impression in WWA and have a job lined up in two months. You guys acted like they traded Beniot and Regal. Hell, if ya wanted to be real generous, send them Jeff Hardy.
