It all really depends on the mood. If I am out with my friends, and we don't have to worry about budget, I like to dine-in, so I prefer Pizza Hut. Same senario, but I lack time, I prefer Arby's.

 

If I am by myself, or lacking funds, I usually head for Taco Bell or Burger King. I think that Burger King and Wendy's have the best tasting burgers.

 

If I have tons of time, and money, I get to pick and choose.

 

I'll go to Arby's for a beef n' cheddar or 4, Rally's for a banana milkshake, & Burger King for onion rings.

Pita Pit. Outlets are appearing all over the place in Central and Southern Ontario, and I've got no complaints about that. Now that I'm seven months into the great vegetarianism experiment, I'm starting to get kind of bitter with the "basic soy burger", "garden salad" or "veggie and cheese sub" options most other places present, when they bother at all. Pita Pit at least has good falafel, and all kinds of groovy cheeses and sauces. Harveys comes in second, though, for having edible onion rings (when I make a (sadly now rare) fried foods purchase, I want it to be, you know, good) and a soy burger with actual moisture in it (Burger King, I'm looking in your direction). Still fairly limited in terms of choice, though. Wendy's picks up some points for the Classic Greek Pita, but it doesn't compare to Pita Pit's, and their overall selection is kinda lacking.

You mean you haven't tried the Tofu-Rice-Veggies combo at Made in Japan?

My friend told me that the veggie Whopper was just a Whopper with no beef patty.  Is that true?

Never been to a Made in Japan outlet - it's starting to sound like I should, though. I think there's actually one at the school, but after being disappointed with Koya (another fast Japanese food place), I never got around to trying it. Now I will.

Thanks for the heads-up on MIJ, and for reminding me that I totally forgot to give Manchu Wok its props. The Garden Combo is like $4.59 Canadian for three items, which I have absolutely no complaints about. Tan Tan Wok, the Northern Ontario knock-off chain, is sad and alarming, though. Some day, I will speak of the Worst Food Court EVER~!

 

The BK Big Veggie is a soy patty (a lot like Harveys, only really dry) with Whopper fixins. Considering the competence of the average Burger King employee, I wouldn't be surprised if ordering a "Veggie Whopper" did just get you a Whopper sans meat patty. I find it helps a lot at BK to speak slowly and carefully, and use the EXACT names, as was discussed in an earlier thread

Ummm... they aren't on here.. but it's a tie between Sonic, Burger King, and Subway for me.
