This has probably already been done, and i know the storyline for the new Supie movie has been around the net for a while, but i have yet to see it. I hear the script is absoutley horrific, in like, a Triple H kinda way.

 

Anyways, just wondering if anyone knows what the basic story is gonna be, if it is going to actually come to fruition or where i can find it.

 

Any info is appreciated.

A link to the proposed script was posted on this board some months back, and it was met with a good bit of anger.

 

Krypton never blows up (taking away Clark's "Last Kryptonian" angle) and Lex is revealed to be an alien (just plain stupid)... Two of the main things which were looked down upon pretty much.

 

I don't know if it'll come to fruition, but I think the WB heads are high on the proposal, which gives it a good chance of being made, or something similar to it.

Yep, that 'Krypton never blows up' bullshit is just stupid considering we SAW the fuckin' thing explode in the first Superman movie.

Here's another discussion on another review of the script, which I posted last week. Personally I think that this review (from Coming Attractions) is much better in terms of giving you an idea of what the movie's about. I don't agree with the reviewer's opinion of the script (he gave it a thumbs up) but I liked it better than the AiCN review. But then, I don't like AicN all that much.

The thing is, the script on the net is the first draft. The script they are using now took pretty much all the stupidity out. Krypton still doesn't blow up but that's about it. Lex being a alien is long gone. And supposedly Krypton WILL possibly be destroyed in the future movies.

 

Doesn't mean the script they're using doesn't suck but it's not like it was.

Well, you're right, and the rumour you've noted is the accepted one right now. But I can't help but think that this was circulated to pacify the masses.
