Guest Last Warrior Report post Posted November 11, 2002 There are two big MMA shows this month, one on the 22nd and one on the 24th. Not many people will be ordering both and I was wondering what one you MMA fans will be ordering. I would rather order UFC as the Ortiz Vs Shamrock appeals to me and you can never see Kenny get beat too many times. There also look to be some good undercard fights. PRIDE wont get a good buyrate in the states because although it will be a reasonable card, there is nobody thereto really grab the americans attention apart from maybe Don Frye. I personally also like Kevin Randleman who will be fighting on the card. What does everybody else think about this?
Guest razazteca Report post Posted November 11, 2002 PRIDE is not being offered by my cable company, well I have never seen a commercial for it at least or hype for it, the UFC got some advertisement on Fox Sports with the Best Damn Sports Show Period and the UFC show. Shamrock vs Ortiz does look appealing....... Damn Shamrock can draw
Guest BobBarnett Report post Posted November 12, 2002 Every time an MMA show lacks starpower, like the UK UFC, it turns out to be great. I'll bet both shows will rock.
Guest Last Warrior Report post Posted November 12, 2002 The Uk UFC show was really good and if it is as good as that, many fans will be pleased. I dont know if they showed UFC 38 in the US or not. Bob Barnett - Will you be offering both of these shows and if we buy them both do we get a free 'loaner'.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted November 12, 2002 I'd order both in a second, but I can't order Pride PPVs where I am. UFC of course I'll be ordering. This is the one that is an absolute can't-miss.
Guest Last Warrior Report post Posted November 12, 2002 I heard today that Shamrock has signed a 3 fight deal with UFC rather than just for this fight. The question for me is, if he loses this fight where does he go from there. It seems that the next natural fight would be Chuck Liddell. I do not know that much about the weight of the fighters in the UFC and so would it be possible for him to go in with Vitor Belfort or even Frank Shamrock. I would like t see noth of these. This is more of a PRIDe match but I would also like to see a re-match from PRIDE 10 and see him go up against Fujita again. That match definately left me wanting more.
