Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted November 11, 2002 Andy Reid sucks as a head coach because unless a game is against a division rival or against a good NFC team (ex. Tampa) his team doesn't give a flying fuck. He is the worst coach I have ever seen when it comes to getting his team up for a game. Save for the first half against Tenn. they played like absolute garbage in the rest of the AFC games. Here are the teams they playe Tenn.--AFC team----played with zero emotion Jack.---AFC team----played with zero emotion Houston-AFC team---zero emotion (I know they put up 35 but they played like shit) Indy----AFC team----a disgrace Chicago--bad NFC team---garbage Dallas----Division rival----great Wash.---Division rival----best game in Reid era NYG-----Division rival-----started slow but came on in the 2nd half Tampa--good NFC team--same as Giants start slow then dominated I know that it is typical to value the division games more than others and that is fine but to be garbage in a game against an iffy team or an AFC team every time out is a disgrace. Reid is a good guy when it comes to setting up a scheme and turning a bad team good obviously but he sucks as a coach trying to get a talented team over the hump because he has no clue about getting a team off its ass when it is a less intense game. And BTW why the fuck when you have a 240 lb. QB do you throw a halfback cross field to QB pass on a fourth and 1 instead of just having the QB sneak?
Guest razazteca Report post Posted November 11, 2002 Andy Reid is a genius at trick plays. Too bad the offense is all McNabb and nothing else.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted November 11, 2002 Reid was a genius at trick plays for about four weeks this season but he beat them all to death. James Thrash worked good on the end around and reverses good in the beginning of the season but then they decided to run them at least twice a game and give the look of them about ten times a game. And the problem with a fake end around is as a result of the formation the receiver is five yards behind the line of scrimmage and running backwards from the line of scrimmage as the ball is snapped effectively taking him out of the play and they have run them so much that the defense is not biting. Guest meanmaisch Report post Posted November 12, 2002 The problem with the Eagles is that they forced McNabb to be the entire offense. If McNabb does not play well, like he did on Sunday, the whole team falls apart. McNabb is an outstanding quarterback, but he can only go so far with the sub-standard group of cast-offs they call an offense. If he had an all-pro supporting staff, this team would be almost unstoppable.
