Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted November 15, 2002 How could anyone call the Homer buys a Gun episode bad? It's far and away one of the best ones they've done over the last few years. It's a classic and one of my all time favs. No one agrees with me that the last Sideshow Bob ep blew hard? The one where he tried to get Bart to kill Krusty, it was awful. Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted November 15, 2002 Marge gets sugar kicked out of Springfield... It's strange, but... yeah. Not one of the worst.

Yeah, I hated that episode. They should've left Bob alone after the whole thing with Cecil (sp?), plus the storyline was just plain horrible.

I really don't think any episodes since the season that opened with the Hank Scorpio episode have been very good.

Guest EricMM Report post Posted November 18, 2002 The reason people complain is that the simpsons episodes on average are just so much worse than previous ones. You can talk about profits all you want, but all they had to do was stay on syndication, everyone watches the simpsons. It hinders them to release sub-par episodes, since people will not watch them. They have six or seven concrete seasons of shows, they should definitely stop making new ones, and merely make a movie. Christ that would do well... Especially if they didn't besmirch their name like they've been doing recently. These gimmick shows are getting stupid. Going into space was one thing, but the biblical episode was STUPID. The Judge Judy episode was STUPID. They all have funny one liners, but so does almost every other sitcom on TV.
Guest The Hamburglar Report post Posted November 18, 2002 Put me in the group that considers the Simpsons(and Seinfeld) to have no truly bad shows. To me, the Simpsons is simply above all that "jumped the shark, not as good as it was" criticism that runs rife on the Internet. That said, the one Simpsons episode that irritates me is the Lisa the Vegetarian episode. Lisa is allowed to act like a complete Nazi bitch, but its Homer who has to apologise to her in the end. That really stuck in my craw.
