Guest BorneAgain Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 Hulk Hogan Apparently Gone From WWE Over Booking, Book Issues Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon have apparently parted ways. Insiders are reporting that McMahon is taking it as hard as when Steve Austin walked out, although he has chose not to express it publicly as he did with Austin. Hogan had agreed to work the main event of Survivor Series against Brock Lesnar, but as we have reported earlier, backed out a few weeks ago. Hogan was then due to have a program with McMahon leading to a match at Royal Rumble. There were no creative plans for Hogan after that because his deal was only for a year and it expired in February. In addition to booking problems, Hogan and McMahon had odds over Hogan’s book. The McMahons wanted Hogan to credit them more for his success. In addition, there were issues over how the book would be promoted on and off WWE TV. Since WWE owns part of the book and stands to make some profits, they will still promote the book on WWE TV. The success or failure of the book will have large ramifications for wrestling books in the future, so it remains in WWE’s best interests that the book does well. credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter I'm a little reluctant to believe it, but if it is true, what's Hogan gonna do?
Guest goodhelmet Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 honestly, i could give a shit what hogan does. i'll be happy just knowing the motherfucker jobbed clean in his last match!
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 *remembers when he told everyone this over a week ago and people refused to beleive me then* Ahh...good times.
Guest BA_Baracus Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 Aw darn. No Hogan. What ever will we do? I mean...he's the future or wrestling you know.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 Yep. When I look into my crystal ball and see the future of wrestling, I see a bunch of young guys with unwrinkled skin laid out on the canvas while Hogan does that Ear Thing.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 Hogan truely is immortal. 50 years from now, he'll still look the same as he does now. He's one of those Highlander immortals.
Guest BA_Baracus Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 Wow...awesome. The ear thing = ratings.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 Highlander immortals? Why do I suddenly picture WrestleMania 70 main event of Hogan vs. HHH and the tagline "There can be only one"
ChrisMWaters Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 Highlander immortals? Why do I suddenly picture WrestleMania 70 main event of Hogan vs. HHH and the tagline "There can be only one" ....GAH! That's a scary image. ^^;
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 He's gone for now, but I am still not convinced he is gone for good. I thought that after KOTR 1993, and I was wrong then.
Guest goodhelmet Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 you know, in 1993 people actually still gave a shit. people said goodbye to him at WM this year and that should have been his last match. i don't see the old fucker returning anytime soon.
Guest jester Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 I believe it's the end of a working relationship between WWE and Hogan...for awhile. But I won't believe he is truly gone, as in he stops coming around to cut the same old promo and do the same old match until he is laid out on a slab. And even then, HHH will probably put on that mask Ed Leslie wore when injured and hump his corpse.
Guest Choken One Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 Please, Vince still has Hogan under his power, and when Vince needs a power play...He bring Hogan out from the cobwebs...Besides, might as well use Hogan as your international tool alongside with The Big Show. Kind of like they did with Foley for a while. Vince hasn't done Hogan-Austin Hogan-McMahon and Hogan-Test. and then he'll have exhusted Hogan to his fullest.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 i started a thread about this, and they could do with him now, i think if it's really over jobbing clean to brock in his last match was the perfect thing to do, but he had drawing power and put people over, something the current top raw guy ain't doing.
Guest Dangerous A Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 Question about Hogan, Is he gone for good? Let's fucking hope so.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 Like I said in the last thread on this same topic... Until i see Hogan's cold tanned corpse laying in a pine box I won't believe that I've finally rid myself of seeing the orange goblin.
