Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted November 13, 2002 In what has to be really, really scary news to WWE, the pre-PPV edition of Raw scored just a 3.1 cable rating, with a 4.8 share, according to Nielsen Media Research. The show did hours of 3.2 and 3.1, meaning that not only did the show not build an audience from hour one to hour two, but it actually lost viewers. It's considered a bad night when hour two doesn't grow considerably from hour one. It's a disaster when it goes backward. The 3.1 is right around what WWE was doing in late 1997, when they were getting beaten on Monday nights by WCW Nitro. There is no real way to paint anything but a very negative spin on the rating. This is very bad news for WWE. 1wrestling.com

Guest razazteca Report post Posted November 13, 2002 see what happens when RVD is the curtain jerker~ Raiders vs Broncos was a really good game, as Rich Gannon nearly had a perfect game.

Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted November 13, 2002 ok raiders vs. broncos probably had very litle to do with it. really, i just think people (like myself) are tuning away from the show in droves. i haven;'t watched raw in months and i think other people are realizing that if they don't miss it then there is no harm. hell, they are getting closer and closer to bottoming out everyday. what will be the spin when the show hits the high 2's??? Guest D'Lo White Report post Posted November 13, 2002 Wow, that really is bad. Not even D'Lo and his great match with Dave could save the ratings.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted November 13, 2002 And the RAW thread is less than 20 pages long, when it is usually exceedes 40. Coincidence? Nope. People just don't care anymore. Can't blame 'em.
Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted November 13, 2002 The sad part is that this was one of the best editions of Raw in a long time. No mind-blowing matches, but thats to be expected 6 days before a big PPV. They really focused on keeping the dumb sportz entertainment stuff to a minimum. And the audience shrank as the night went on. Get ready for soap opera BS starting next Monday once again.
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted November 13, 2002 What was the rating last week?
Guest razazteca Report post Posted November 13, 2002 Test vs the Super Heroes killed whatever heat was left for the Main Event in the 2nd hour. Revealing that Stacy as a Pre-Opt She-Man with TESTicle(s) destroyed the illusion of Stacy as a hot piece of ass~
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted November 13, 2002 RAW was decent but when you look at it there were a ton of POINTLESS matches. I watched the Football game myself, but it was boring by halftime..which left about a half an hour or so of RAW..
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted November 13, 2002 and the sad thing... booker t gets blamed. not the writers, not steph, not vince in the mirror. booker fucking t will get the shaft.

Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted November 13, 2002 10:04 EST marked the first appearance of HHH, guys. And he was put in a match with Booker, non-title, who didn't have a prayer of beating. HBK came out to add fuel to that HOT feud-within-a-fued... Hmmm....

If you read the first post, you'd see ratings dropped in the second hour, hence my point. Some people who were watching tuned out when HHH showed up.

Guest Downhome Report post Posted November 13, 2002 They will blame Jericho, Booker T, and RVD since they are actually being promoted to go into the big match... ...this will lead to HHH pinning ALL OF THE OPPONENTS in that match, you just wait and see. Also... ...RAW is Katie will return next week, as the ratings went down after they ended that. (There, that's exactly how they'll look at things, just wait!)
