SF Giants sign Felipe Alou to manage

I'm an A's fan across the Bay, but this is a huge pickup for the Gigantes. He is a good replacement for Dusty and is very respected by the Bay Area as he played here back in the day. He is one guy who can co-exist with Barry Bonds and get the most out of the team.

IMO I think Alou is only good with young players. Alou managing a team of veterans (including Bonds) is a recipe for a disaster.

Not really, Remember Bonds grew up with Alou...They must have a relationship. Bonds loves any Giants legend.

 

The real concern is Jeff Kent, if he stays (unlikely)...His ego will increase. However, He won't stay anyways...
