Pop Up Videos

1. Is this show still on? For the past two years it has been airing four or five new episodes every six months but I haven't seen a new episode or any episode for that matter in three months.

2. Does anyone own the Pop Up Video DVDs? Are they worth buying? I might be interested in purchasing it ...

3. Am I the only Pop Up Video mark on this forum?

I enjoy the show when I come across it, although they show alot of shitty videos. But then again, those are the majority.

Depending on the video, there are some I like, but usually I detest Pop Up Video because they're either facts I already know, facts that are so trivial that they're not worth knowing, or bad attempts at being funny. Also, since I only got VH1 for half the day, and it was almost always older stuff that wouldn't be played on more contemporary channels, it was literally the only time I'd get to see these videos and I just didn't want to see all the crap. I did, however, like the "background/recap" screen flashed for like a second at the end of the video, because when I could actually read the info I found it, unlike the bubbles, to be rather useful and interesting.

 

I had no idea the show was still on though. If the DVDs had "unpopped" versions of the videos as special features I'd consider a purchase.
