Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 14, 2002 The kiss between Eric Bischoff and Stephanie McMahon on the Halloween Smackdown could be the start of a major angle in 2003. There is talk that the kiss will lead to a Bischoff/Steph alliance in the beginning of 2003, and they will team up to battle Vince McMahon for control of WWE. This feud would be the major ‘power play’ feud at the top of the card in the first part of 2003, which each side gathering support. So far, WWE has opted for a slow burn on the angle, and things could obviously change vastly between now and whenever the angle plays out. credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted November 14, 2002 So, does that mean the end of the split?
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Hey, it's the WWE's favorite way of fixing things: MORE MCMAHONS!!!! Vince will win when Steph turns on Bischoff. There, I just spoiled a year's worth of booking.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Isn't this the angle that they ran INSTEAD of the Invasion last year?
Guest RedJed Report post Posted November 14, 2002 I'd much rather see Bischoff and Steph getting involved somewhat and then Bischoff just being the evil heel and somehow taking Steph out in a power play when she's vulnerable, even to the point where he takes over Smackdown as well. That leads to Vince back and we have Eric v. Vince, not this shit with Steph involved. Fuck that
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted November 14, 2002 I wanna see Kurt Angle get Steph damnit! That storyline never ended from more than a year ago! Fucking Triple H! Maybe Angle will take out Bischoff and jack move Steph..
Guest geniusMoment Report post Posted November 14, 2002 I think everyone, even the dumbest marks, know that vince owns the promotion and will ultimatly go over. Therefore there is no suspense, and while an angle with no suspense over who will end up winning has been successful in the past, Hogan in the 80's and Austin vs. McMahon, it has to be booked perfectly or comes off looking cheap. does anyone out there really feel this booking team can book a long and entertaining angle? I mean why would they start now, they can always just call on god to save them
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted November 14, 2002 As long as it ends with all the Mcmahons dying and leaving TV forever - I am fine with it. Hey, why not just throw in a wedding angle AND a pregnancy angle to fill out the suckness quotient. So this will be the... 3rd... time stephs turns on vince to try and control the company? And I bet he forgives her in the end too.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted November 14, 2002 It made no sense why Vince hired her back for Smackdown in the first place.......Shane comes in and bitches at Vince for bringing Bischoff in, but NOT for bringing Steph back? Ummm ok......major logic hole there.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted November 14, 2002 it could be worst as Bischoff could try to seduce Linda McMahon into giving him her stocks.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 14, 2002 I think I speak for everyone when I wonder... What does HHH have to do with all of this, and how will it adversely affect the elavation of others?

I mean why would they start now, they can always just call on god to save them The only problem with this is that there is no decent in ring payoff. In the 80s Hogan was the top wrestler so he could be booked in stuff like this and give people MEs, Austin was the top wrestler vs. McMahon so he could be booked in stuff like this and produce MEs, but what can this even with the greatest booking ever provide either Bischoff vs. McMahon (neat match, but won't draw huge itself so it is nothing worth focusing a long time planning) or a wrestler for each person against each other which makes it a waste that you spent all of this time planning when the two lead characters in the angle don't wrestle. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 14, 2002 This angle will lead to Hogan getting a new contract.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted November 14, 2002 I think I speak for everyone when I wonder... What does HHH have to do with all of this, and how will it adversely affect the elavation of others? Well... Maybe it will be Steph, Bisch, AND HHH... and Bisch and HHH can be Steph's servants or something. Okay, I'll stop now.
Guest Paranoid Report post Posted November 14, 2002 The WWE is trying to get away from the the fact that HHH and Steph are involved in real life. So that throws alot of stuff that has been said out the window. But I think , as much as I hate Vince, he needs to come back. He brings serious heat. Not to mention that he sucks! But anyway, the angle should be played out in order to bring the split back together. I (IMO) think it would be a good thing.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Stephanie is writing, so her side will obviously win. Which will be cool because Bisch is 10x better at playing self-centered pond scum than Vince ever was. Plus he has the track record of the Gold Club incident and laying off Davey Boy from the hospital via FedEx, which make the character even better for the Smark in you. But hell, if it means that Shane comes back (since he was anti-Bischoff in his brief bit in the storyline), I'm happy for it. No matter if you like or don't like McMahons, we could use more Shane anyway.
Guest Paranoid Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Damn right we could use more Shane. Even if he is fair weather, how many people are willing to take the bumps he has taken!

Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted November 14, 2002 What does HHH have to do with all of this, and how will it adversely affect the elavation of others? 1) He becomes the Main Babyface with Vince who will lead the WWE against the Bischoff/Stephanie Alliance. 2) He Becomes the Austin of the Alliance but to a Greater Degree. Either way, He'll be the Main Focus before he goes anywhere. Both Vince & Bischoff along with Steph will have a Tug of War over him, saying Triple H is the Greatest thing walking on God's Green Earth and how the world will come to an end if he doesn't join up with them, because Triple H is the Be all, end all, of everything that has to do with Wrestling and Life itself. Guest eirejmcmahon Report post Posted November 14, 2002 What does HHH have to do with all of this, and how will it adversely affect the elavation of others? Well we saw HHH getting in Eric's face about the kiss a week or so back and we had Steph pining over HHH at the PPV so it seems pretty clear that (Surprise!Surprise!) he's well placed to play a major part in any Bischoff/Steph angle. Guest buffybeast Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Vince will win when Steph turns on Bischoff. There, I just spoiled a year's worth of booking. Seriously, this or another version of this will happen if the company decides to go this route. The question is why? Why does Vince think his family can save the ratings, that people want to see his crappy family? (minus Shane, who is soooo cute).
Guest Super Pissed Smark Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Vince is a certified fucking genius and Triple-H is the greatest talent to ever grace a WWE ring. Add the charisma of Stephanie and unctuousness of Bischoff and this angle is a lock to get ratings back up into the 6's, draw huge buy rates, sell-out house shows all over the country and main event the greatest WrestleMania of all time. I can't begin to describe how excited I am by all of this.

Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted November 14, 2002 I'd rather see the workers rebell against the boss instead of these predictable GMs vs Boss deals. Why does Vince always trust his family when they keep stabbing him in the back?
