Guest notJames Report post Posted November 14, 2002 From WW_.com: SmackDown! preview for Nov. 14, 2002 There will be just 72 hours remaining until Survivor Series when SmackDown! kicks off at 8/7 CT tonight on UPN from Columbus, Ohio! SmackDown! General Manager Stephanie McMahon announced on Super Tuesday that the WWE Tag Team Championship would be on the line in a Triple Threat Match at Survivor Series. The new titleholders, Edge & Rey Mysterio, will be defending against former champions Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit as well as Eddie & Chavo Guerrero. All six of those Superstars will be in action on SmackDown! Not surprisingly, Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle each blame the other for losing the Tag Team Titles last week. So tonight, they'll go one on one! Plus, Eddie Guerrero battles Rey Mysterio. This is the first time these two scintillating competitors have faced each other in WWE, and no doubt it'll be a memorable encounter. In addition, Chavo Guerrero will battle Edge. Plus, Brock Lesnar and the Big Show are both scheduled to be in the building just 72 hours before their WWE Championship Match at Survivor Series. No doubt, they'll both be looking to gain a psychological advantage heading into one of the biggest WWE pay-per-views of the year. And how will Paul Heyman factor into all of this? Catch all this action and more tonight on UPN at 8/7 CT! And for you Tough Enough III fans: Rey Mysterio and Tommy Dreamer will stop in at Trax West tonight on Tough Enough, starting at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. But one of the cast members may not be able to enjoy the guest appearances. Another contestant will be sent home tonight. Who will it be? Find out tonight! ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Rey and Tommy on Tough Enough after what should be a pretty good Smackdown. This is why I'm prefering Thursdays to Mondays. TAKE THE F*CKING HINT VINCE!
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Just to point something out: Nova wrestled a dark match on Smackdown. * Resists urge to make the "Nova invented the dark match" joke Wait.........I just did.
Guest notJames Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Nova invented "Wacky tag team partners that hate each other." I also think he invented the city of Columbus, Ohio. At the least, I'm quite sure he invented the question mark.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Nova didn't invent Superhero Wrestlers though. Owen Hart did that with the Blue Blazer
Guest ElectricRaccoon Report post Posted November 14, 2002 But, seeing as Nova invented him, he at least gets partial credit (a concept that, I might add...oh, forget it)
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2002 But, seeing as Nova invented him, he at least gets partial credit (a concept that, I might add...oh, forget it) ...Invented Owen Hart or Blue Blazer?
Guest ElectricRaccoon Report post Posted November 14, 2002 When you're asking what Nova invented, it's never a question of "or".
Guest notJames Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Please don't mention Nova and my personal Jesus in the same thread. Nova wishes he could have been 1/25th as good as Owen in his prime. I'm still waiting for someone to emulate Owen's running belly-to-belly... the one where he catches someone running the ropes in stride and then hoists them up and over in one fell swoop. Truly one of a kind. This one's for you, King of Harts.

Brock could gain a serious advantage during the ppv by leaving a box of twinkies up on the ramp during the match. Niko

Super-mark wouldn't even come close to describing how much I admire and miss the late Owen Hart. I'll just leave it at that and move on. And yes, I'm saddened every time I think of how he never got to wear the 15 lbs. of gold. And it kills me to think about the kind of matches he could be having today with the likes of the SmackDown!Six. Sigh.

Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Great! I get to target Rebekah: Partying Christian For Hire while getting the coolness of Rey and Dreamer? I love recapping. Which reminds me, everyone should read my Tough Enough recap when it does go up, and if you need a reminder of last week, the Week Four recap is right here! Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge

And it kills me to think about the kind of matches he could be having today with the likes of the SmackDown!Six. Sigh. Well, IIRC from the biography on A&E they had for Owen, they said that Owen was looking to retire early on in his career. So...probably by this time if he were still alive, Owen would be retired by now. Still, I get your point
Guest notJames Report post Posted November 14, 2002 I hope Rebekah breaks her leg and then thanks Jesus Christ for including her in His great plan. Then she falls down a well and we never hear her hypocritical, racist, elitist remarks again. Or maybe Dreamer will give a Hardcore demonstration and accidentally disembowel her with an electric hedge trimmer. Either way is fine with me. Go Scott!!! Truly one of a kind. Awww, another Move by Owen which The Rock Screws Up. Thank you. I cringe everytime he does that "Barely-to-belly" or hooks on his "ScorpionKing Deathlock". Great entertainer and all, and I know he was pretty close with Owen, but why couldn't he crib moves off of someone else? Oooh, that burns my brisket... Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Like I've said before, Rock is too Tall to pull off some of his moves. Like the Sharpshooter and Belly to Belly. I miss the Rock, btw. Bring him back to Raw and let him be the #1 Heel on the show. Triple H can be Rock's "Michael Cole or Kevin Kelly" where Rock mouths off to him and make him go get him things. Guest CheesalaIsGood Report post Posted November 14, 2002 Perhaps we can all take comfort in the fact that the centers of the Smackdown universe, the "holy six" or whatever, are wrestling in no less than 3 matches in one show. Yay! Cheese

ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2002 Hmmm....does anyone else feel like they are stuck in 1993 right now? Nah...not enough gimmicked wrestlers for it to be 1993. Bring a Native American, a barber, a taxman, a model, a sumo wrestler... And that's just naming a few.
