I am currently watching the Max Kellerman Hosted "Around the Horn" in my office. I've been watching this show since it's inception last monday.

 

So far it has been an enjoyable show, worthy of leading in PTI.

 

I would like a better cast of Panalists....

 

What about you guys? Is it a winner or another short lived ESPN bomb such as Unscripted.

It blows. Max Kellerman is a short, annoying man and the Boston Herald sports department owns the Boston Globe's.

I don't know the Boston sports paper scene but I do believe that Ryan is quite annoying...using fancy words in the wrong context is unneccsary. What about the concept? Liike it?

you know the funniest thing I ever saw on a Sports Center show was Stuart Scott mocking PTI about the MLB awards.

 

Around the Horn is ok but do we really need another sports show with people yelling at each other as if it was a bastard child of a PBS program & Jim Rome.

Roy Firestone, remember him, now that was a great interview program.

 

NBA Fastbreak is one of my favorite new sport shows on ESPN, NFL 2 Night, and the old Sports Writers show with Dick Schrapt were some of my favorites.

That pretty much sums it up - just a whole bunch of random shit that is not funny at all. The points thing is really lame (is this supposed to be a quiz show?), and Max Kellerman needs to be shot in the groin. Repeatedly.

 

Just a grade A clusterfuck.

The problem is here...they tried to recreate PTI but with a better looking host...Please. I like listing to Kellerman during Friday Nite fights If I catch it...but How did he get a show over Scott or Eisen? Know what? Dan Patrick would suffice if they can't find where the hell firestone is.

Why couldn't they just recreate the Dan Patrick Radio Show for television? It could operate on the radio and on TV, like Howard Stern's show.

I like that idea and thus it will bring in even more stars...But would they shorten it to 30 minutes (18 mins of content)...I'd say have a Weekly wrap up Sunday at 1200 a. m

Around the Horn's not bad. It's not great, but I an't complain about it. I'm not too keen on Max Kellerman or his boxing bias, but anything with Bob Ryan and TJ Simers going at it can't suck outright.

Around The Horn sucks. It's basically there to put Kellerman over, imo, and isn't even a quarter as good as (TSN's) Off The Record or PTI. You know, ESPN owns part of TSN - why not bring OTR over or at least do an US-centric version?

I've only seen the show twice (I never seem to be home then) and I don't think it's too bad. Max gets on my nerves though one time there was a women on the panel and I think he took points away from her maybe once. The voice took away some at the end and she lost a trivia to get her down in the 20s otherwise she would've finished in the mid 30s ridiculous. Max must've wanted to get laid.

I think she was from Boston. Everytime she would say something he'd be like "Good Point" and she would go up 5. Everybody else was like 15 below her and lucky if they got a 2 point increase.

Ok because when that one chick from Houston Chronicle does a ESPN show (she does NBA Halftime report now)...the guys are always nice and sweet...she is all right looking.

Kellerman's a dope. He's so obnoxious and infuriating that you just want to punch a whole in your tv screen. The week in which he and Dan Lebatard (sp) guest hosted PTI was one of the most awful weeks in the history of television. They should have given Norman Chad the show. I know he has Reel Classics, but he could do this as well.

PTI can be hosted by anybody, I would prefer Max Kellerman with Stuart Scott.

Norman hasn't been on PTI in a while. I don't remember him being on that often during the baseball season.

 

Kellerman and Scott? That would be the worse show ever, guaranteed to offend millions.
