See, people stay interested in Smackdown, while ignoring Raw.

TAKE THE F'N HINT WWE!

If they didn't release the new Smackdown game yesterday, I think it could have went up.

"Rikishi?! Time for SYM..."

"Big Show? Screw that..."

Yet again, Smackdown did better than RAW.

Hmmmmmm.....Anyone think that Vince will eventually get the hint?

Nope. He'll probably try to "revitalize" the tag division by putting, uh....whoever the RAW Tag champs are against HHH and Flair and give them 30 minutes. With HHH getting the pin, of course.

Well...

It's safe to say that we know the exact # of people who are fans of a wrestling based show.

What this teaches us?

CONDITION FANS TO CARE ABOUT WRESTLING AND NOT ANGLES.

Angles are not bad, they can add a lot to the stories between the ropes.

Angles involving corpse-fucking, HHH beating everyone, and so on with other soap opera bullshit...that stuff has no place in wrestling.

Angles (good ones anyway) can help out develop feuds for good matches.

Raw is a bad example of this.

That's all nice IN THEORY...

but given the people who write the angles in the WWE...

I stick to the idea of conditioning fans to like the actual wrestling.

It's the anti Hogan sentiment that I have from WAY back. WWE fans are conditioned to like the dumbest things.

I actually sort of like the Benoit/Angle and Brock/Big Show feuds, which are pretty well written.

I don't understand the Benoit/Angle feud anymore.

If they hate each other so much, why do they want the tag gold with each other?

They may hate each other, but that's secondary to being a champion for the two of them.

That's why they're willing to put their fighting aside to become tag team champions.

That's my thought on it.

I think the Benoit/Angle, Brock/Big Show, and more angles at this time are great, I love them, period. I can't say the same about most of the stuff on RAW, however, I am totally into the Maven/Snow/Harvard fued, that is some great stuff in my eyes.

I agree that angles are great, and a must have in the Pro. Wrestling industry, but there is a fine line between the perfect ballance of angles and wrestling. How about this...

...if you ask me, throughout the years the actual "wrestling" aspects of any show has proven to be hook for fans, and the hook to keep those fans. Sure, some angles can hook some people to the sport for life, but for the most part, I see what goes on IN the ring, to be the biggest hook of all, and the main thing that keeps people on board for many years.

This doesn't mean just great workers either, but also people who can tell a story in the ring, like Hogan and the such. People got hooked on the in ring action, excitement, and they remain true (many of them), today. If they can once again bring back the Pro. Wrestling hook, then over time their fan base will grow again, and who knows...

...maybe they can even through in some more great angles to make it that much better.

shhhh..... Do you hear it Vince? That roaring, unignorable sound?

THAT IS THE SOUND OF US SMARK'S UTTER FUCKING VINDICATION, TRAMPLING YOUR INSIPID ANGLES INTO THE DUST AND MARCHING OVER THEM LIKE GIANT RADIOACTIVE RUBBERPANTS!!!

DO NOT IGNORE THE PANTS!

, yeah, even I never expected that the "Smark Way" would be so utterly and completely dominant over the WWE way.

I mean, seriously. Vince has been proved completely, irrefutably wrong in his "I know what the fans want better than they do" line of thinking and his soap-opera nonsense. "Raw is HHH" is absolute sh*t, and every mark I know of doesn't watch it; they watch SmackDown! instead. Just found this out this week in fact.

Yes, these ratings are proving one thing...

it proves that the fans don't watch WWE for its home grown talent, Kurt Angle is the execption.

*mocking* "Chyna's Husband". I WANT HIM BANNED! NOW! BAN HIM!

Anyway, the Smark show is beating out Vince's sports-entertainment...that's good. I just hope that Vince doesn't kill the split and ruin Smackdown out of spite for the IWC.

I kinda hope he kills the split and Smackdown's grandness infects Raw.

But I seriously doubt that will happen.

Not with "Man who dated She-Male with Slaughter's Chin" is in charge of the show.

I don't always "get it," but at least it's Entertaining and we're getting good matches out of it.

It's weird, if one of them were a female, they hate each other so much, they end up screwing and falling in love.

Ewwwwwww,

Hey Anglesault, is that how Gay Porn works too?

Right now it looks like they're setting up Angle's face turn. Benoit is the one who's not so happy with Angle; whereas Angle is so happy they have a united front going into the show so they can win the tag titles. He's being set up for the fall as Benoit will side with his friends, the Guerreros. We'll get a trios tag in two weeks (or maybe at the PPV), and Brock will interfere to hit Angle (his time off, because Heyman made mention of Angle and Lesnar showed some fear) while Rey gets taken out (knee scoped). Angle takes his time off with Benoit, Heyman, and Lesnar mocking him. Benoit draws numbers for his entry into the rumble, let's say 29, and then draws for Angle, 30, but laughs because Angle's not going to be there. You get to the show, thirty hits, pause for like five or ten seconds, Angle's music, crowd pops big, he wins. Angle cuts a promo next night about how Brock injured him and he's chosen to go after the title instead of Olympic Gold, Benoit comes out, interrupts, tells Angle that he wasn't an active (or cleared) wrestler and shouldn't have won. Benoit deserves it, he was the last active wrestler in the ring. They have this match at No Way Out. All the time in the build up, Lesnar's talking with Paul about how great a wrestler was and totalling selling Angle as a challenger.

After Angle wins at No Way Out Angle switches gears and starts getting ready for Lesnar. First night, the WWE puts out a package showing each individuals amateur careers. Angle cuts a triumphant promo, moving away from Benoit and to Lesnar while Benoit goes crazy in the back until he runs into Rock. Benoit knocks him down in the back, making reference to their short feud from the summer. Second week, promo package focuses on their workouts. Angle's out training, out wrestling guys before Brock shows up and out-powers all the extras. Third week, promo package focuses on their achievements, how Brock rose faster at a younger age and Angle more rounded career and the medals. Angle's in the ring and Heyman interrupts, giving a promo explaining why Brock's a little timid around Angle, saying Brock attended an Angle camp where he was told he could not make it. Something to that affect. Fourth week, the promo package is totally focused on their WWE career comparisons (with a special on their moves, F5/Angle Slam, Bearhug/Anklelock, Moonsault/SSP). Rhyno shows up, gores Angle as an aid to Heyman (setting up the rib psychology). Going into WrestleMania, Angle is an underdog but credible. He has an edge to him, and Brock has a weakness. But Brock has been unbeatable to this point, and Rhyno has pierced Angle's armor.

I'll write this up cleaner later, maybe turn it into a big oclumn and one of the sites can carry it for a while.

I don't usually like fantasy booking as a rule, but that stuff sounds great. Plausible, too, except I really think the WWE is hell-bent on turning Brock face. Good stuff, though.
