Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 17, 2002 Wow...I didn't even see that Texas Tech had won. Good that guarantees Texas can't undeservingly sneak into the Fiesta bowl. Well it's not like Texas would've beat Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship, but still extra insurance can't help.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted November 17, 2002 I live in Lubbock, Texas... so it's pretty crazy here. TEXAS TECH WINS!!! ... Sorry, I had to get that one out. Wes Welker was a Gawd, tonight.
Guest Blackston Report post Posted November 17, 2002 Texas couldn't have played OU in the Big XII Championship game since they are in the same division. That is part of the injustice of the whole thing. Texas could have sneaked into the title game without even winning their division, let alone their conference championship. Thank god the Longwhornes lost.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted November 17, 2002 Thank god the Longwhornes lost. No, no.. it should be.. thank God the Raiders won. It's insane here.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted November 17, 2002 30-12 Maryland over Clemson. Uglyish game but Maryland didnt give up a TD and they won a game at Clemson for the first time since 1985. Now FSU needs to lose to NC St. next week and Maryland needs to beat Virginia and Wake Forest.

Thank god the Longwhornes lost. Ah hell i always forget about that. I don't know why they don't change that seeing how it's such a big rival game. But i guess that's why they are in same division so they won't have to play a big emotional game twice a year.

And didn't Oklahoma beat Texas this year already? And the BCS proponents want to know why people are pissed there's no 1-A playoff.
Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted November 17, 2002 I can't believe Texas Tech beat Texas. If Tech can pull it out a second time against Oklahoma they could win the Big 12 South and play in the Big 12 Championship. As for Texas, I hate to say it's good a team lost, except when that team could possibly sneak in the back door to the championship game the way Nebraska did last year. Damn, Oregon has just gone down the toliet. No Onterrio Smith = no wins, and their pass defense is awful - this time Cody Pickett and Reggie Williams torched them. Fun Fact for today: In 2001, Larry Johnson rushed for 337 yards. In Saturday's game vs. Indiana, Johnson rushed for 324. This is the THIRD TIME he has broken the Penn State single-game rushing record, and now he holds the all-time season record too. He's probably not being considered for Heisman because Ohio State shut him down and Chris Brown has better stats. But he might be the first running back taken in the draft next year. Maybe everyone was right when they said NC State was a pretender. Just one more shot...does the new Michigan State head coach, whoever he is, have ANY shot at convincing Charles Rogers to stay? I'm betting NAY.

When I was going back home, people were driving crazy and such because of all the drinking. It was insane... Tech won. I'm still shocked.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 17, 2002 Charles Rogers isn't a senior this year? I could've sworn he was, but no it would be highly unlikely that Charles Rogers will return. Besides the new Michigan State coach is very temporary. He doesn't want the job. So there's basically no coach around to convince Rogers to stay. Rogers will likely have his mind made up before MSU ends their search for a new coach
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2002 Big XII Game of the Week: Nebraska over K-State by 6 and KSU wins by 36 points. 49-13 Wildcats KILL the Cornhuskers. Payback is a biooootch!
