From Meltzer:

--WWE is coming out with both Rey Mysterio and Best of Confidential DVD's in early 2003 (thanks to Kyle Wolf)

A REY MYSTERIO DVD~! If even a quarter of that DVD is WCW/ECW footage, can you believe how unbelievable it would be?

I must have it!!!!

I request:

Rey vs Los Guerreros

Rey vs Malenko

WCW Cruiserweight champion reign

I wonder if they will include the matches that had Rey without the mask? The Kevin Nash incident never happened?

That's certainly good news... they'll be able to include some of the matches between the Smackdown 6 on there... Rey vs. Angle, Rey and Edge vs. Los Guerreros, Rey vs. Angle, vs. Benoit.

Getting about 2-3 of those in high quality will be worth it due to my UPN station sucking ass.

You know they are going to fuck this up.

Dirty What?

Filthy Who?

Nasty Where?

That's the way WWE like it.

What are the odds that the WWE leaves off the greatest match in the history of WCW (the Eddy vs. Rey Havoc match) in order to fit in extra angles of Nash throwing him like a dart?

I agree.... but the dart thing was funny as hell. By the way... you never responded to my RAW PM!

If it means we get to hear stevie ray get confused over the difference between 'face full of stuff' and the 'bronco buster' - having Devil Horned Rey is worth it.

Just Say No to Konnan material, especially the time he was an announcer for Filthy Animal matches.

This is something I'll probably get, seeing as how I never did watch any of his matches from WCW. By the way, what was his best match in WCW?

"Best Of Confidential" sounds cool

I don't think WWE owns the right to ECW footage...yet

If the WWE doesn't screw it up a Rey Mysterio DVD should be super awesome.

the greatest WCW match is:

Eddy vs Rey Halloween Havoc

Rey vs Juvi

Rey vs Psicosis

then the Dean Malenko series from Nitro

Rey vs Kidman

Rey & Kidman as tag team champs

Rey vs Ultimo Dragon

Rey vs Jericho

Worst is vs Nash and the Filthy Animals mini Konnan era with "friend" Disco Inferino

Yes it does. Really.

The Filthy Animals were lame, but Konnan's retarded schtik was somewhat enjoyable. Especially the "DAT'S ENUFF!" bit. Good times.

I can't wait to hear Rey being forced to say that Nash tossing him into the trailer was an honor.

BTW you guys know that the DVD will be about 1/4 WCW stuff and the rest will cover his 3 or 4 months in WWF, right?

Vince isn't going to allow this to be a WCW DVD.

I'll still buy it but lets be realistic.

Oh yeah Eddy/Rey will probably be on it since both guys are in WWF now.

As long as they put the Rey/Ultimo J Crown match on there along with the Rey/Eddy title vs. mask, I'll go out and buy it. Those are the two best WCW matches of the ninties, as far as I'm concerned.

You know what match they need to have on the Rey DVD?

That one match from Nitro...

Rey Mysterio vs. Ric Flair for the WCW Championship.

EDIT: Damnit, where's the best of Molly Holly DVD? ;_;

Flair vs Misterio at Spring Break Nitro must also be there!

I wonder if they will do the "my fav match was" on the DVD, it could be something from When Worlds Collide show.

Hmm...this will be Rey's SECOND WWF/E DVD appearance.

He made 2 cameos in the nWo DVD...Nash and Hall insulting his entrance, and the infamous "Dart" incident.

Heh...and that was before he even signed with the company.

"My favorite matches" seems like a rather pointless concept to put on a personel DVD. I'd much rather they just release the old matches on "best of" type DVD's with each wrestler discusing their favorites. That way we wouldn't have to buy every individual DVD just to get the older stuff from the WWE's extensive tape library.
