I don't think it's necessarily that people are buying illegal products, AS, as much as the fact that I don't think Mr. John Doe Government should do a complete search on me just because I decide to buy a book about the Black Panthers.

All this allows them to do is put all of this information into a big database. The reason is so they can quickly and more efficently draw a connection to any terrorist activities.
