I wasn't around for the Mission to 1000 thread, so that didn't do it. I haven't been a post whore really, or at least I don't think so. Oddly, it took longer to get from 6000-7000, or at least it felt like it. I mean, only yesterday I was thinking about attaching a historical event to correspond to the years of the posts 1500-2000 it seems. So now, minus the two mod-altered post counts, I'm #4. Neat, huh?

 

Why did I make this thread? How did I get this many posts? VOTE!!

Considering it was a month and a half about, I've guesstimated in my head that I'd have somewhere around CWM's count, assuming I'd avoid the Mission thread, which I probably would have.

I think in the early days, you would have been all over the Mission thread. It took a few weeks (if that long) before it became out and out post whoring, and it was fun for the first little while.

I read the first 50 pages or so of that thread when I was REALLY bored one night, and it looked like it really was fun before it became the mindless whoring.

 

And YNA, about 750 of those General Chat posts came from The State, I'm almost certain of it.

Ahh, not that unimpressive, considering the number of posters here and how many of those have simply over 1000.

 

And the number DOES snowball. Took me two and a half months for my first thousand, but I chalk that up more to my own fear of being ripped apart for being a newbie. I think I had something like 20 posts on the old SmarksBoard at the most, because it operated SO DAMN SLOWLY on my computer.

Yeah, I had about the same amount. it was a good board, it's too bad that not all the old crew came over to the new board.

WHOA NOW! I know that's not Kylie you're referring to there. If it's Jeff, that's sanctioned in the entire Western Hemisphere and most of Europe and Asia, but if that was about you-know-who, all the gnomes in the WORLD won't stop my path of RAGE.

Yeah, it was getting pretty bad. I attribute the slacking off to talking to people on AIM more again. There was a time I didn't talk to people much and hadn't discovered sites like Boners.com and such to amuse myself with when I was bored, instead of coming here. Also, getting out of the house a lot more REALLY helps.
