Guest dreamer420 Posted November 21, 2002 Report Posted November 21, 2002 Because fat SAT does not impress me much. Tell me he didn't just say that! JOEL IS NOT FAT!!!!!!!!!
Guest ShooterJay Posted November 21, 2002 Report Posted November 21, 2002 The Maximos (SAT) did have a match against Eddy Guerrero and Red at Ring of Honor's "Night of Appreciation" show, I haven't seen it yet, but it's supposed to be pretty good.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted November 21, 2002 Report Posted November 21, 2002 Because fat SAT does not impress me much. Tell me he didn't just say that! JOEL IS NOT FAT!!!!!!!!! I meant big-boned!!!!!!!
Guest dreamer420 Posted November 21, 2002 Report Posted November 21, 2002 He still rules though. I think the SAT's are vastly underrated right now.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted November 21, 2002 Report Posted November 21, 2002 So is Red considered a member of SAT or is it just the other 2?
Guest dreamer420 Posted November 21, 2002 Report Posted November 21, 2002 He is still considered an SAT I believe, as he is still wearing his SAT tights and he even came out last night wearing the coveralls.
Guest Nevermortal Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 As much as I love them, the name SAT (Spanish Announce Team) reeks of Indy Sleaze. Weren't they once known as The Spanish Assault Team?
Guest dreamer420 Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 I love the name Spanish Announce Team because it is just making fun of the WWE.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 I read that TNA has been in negotiations with Fox Sports Net. We can only hope for the best. In Demand expects them to fullfill their contractual commitment to a full year of shows though, and would demand a large penalty if they back out before. Which means if they got a TV deal soon, they'd still have the show on PPV too which would be redundant. Maybe if that happened their financial backers could buy out the deal and work out a once a month PPV deal or something, but Im thinking ahead of myself...
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 As much as I love them, the name SAT (Spanish Announce Team) reeks of Indy Sleaze. Weren't they once known as The Spanish Assault Team? You're thinking of the Somoan Swat Team (or the SST)
Guest El Satanico Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Oh so they can't have less than 4 ppvs a month until the contract is out?
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Oh so they can't have less than 4 ppvs a month until the contract is out? I just remember reading when they were having their financial problems (before PANDA bought them), and there were rumors they'd close after just a few weeks there was a report that In Demand had a clause in their contract that they would have a large monetary penalty if they backed out of the deal before 4 months, and there would be a lesser penalty if they backed out after 4 months but before a full year. Something like that.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Well yeah i knew that. Just didn't know if the contract called for no less than 4 ppvs per month.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 If Vince really cared he'd have SD! moved to Wednesdays. He doesn't care, nor should he until he can get his own shit together. Just turning on the TV on Monday Nights I can guarantee you that Vince has more important things to worry about than B.G. James and Curt Hennig putting on DUDs every week.
Guest Human Fly Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Didn't Mike Sanders say that the WWF wouldn't allow him to buy out his contract because he'd just go and work for TNA? I don't think they're worried about them yet, but they've got their eye on them and aren't going to do anything to help them out that's for sure.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 That's basically what this bit of news meant. Vince isn't concerned with the current NWA: TNA. He's more concerned with the future of the fed and keeping a possible future competitor in check while he still can.
Guest nikowwf Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 With the rising popularity of NWA-TNA Oh yeah, its just shooting throught the roof.... Seriously, I've gotten a few shows and i see their are some peeps on this board, mostly the same ones who are regular viewers. But is it really MORE popular than before? Seems to me the buzz now is less than at the beginning few weeks... niko
Guest Brian Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 If you want to support something, go for UFC. They once had a big foothold in the PPV market and they're coming out with a stacked card tonight and Shamrock main eventing.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 If Vince really cared he'd have SD! moved to Wednesdays. James and Curt Hennig putting on DUDs every week. And this is THE NUMBER ONE MARK FOR THEM talking. Russo will destroy the NWA and reveal he was really working for Vince and it was ALL A SHOOT.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Well it's true. Vince has nothing to fear from TNA with the exception of the X division forcing him to push the cruisers. Vince fears pushing small men
Guest commie_050 Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 Vince's Master Plan to foil TNA: Buy up the entire X-Division and send them HWA to learn the "WWE Style"
Guest Ravenbomb Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 the SAT's name could be worse, they could be the Spanish Announce Crew.
