JR and the King say that tonight in the main event, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Ken Shamrock will face Kurt Angle and the Rock. They also mention the upcoming Cruiserweight Tournament matches.

 

Chavo Guerrero vs. TAKA

Lots of mat work and stiff action. TAKA wins in 8:26 with a Michinoku Driver 2.

 

 

<Commercial Break>

 

 

RVD and the Dudleys arrive together with their titles.

 

Angle comes down to the ring and says he’s tired of Ken Shamrock. He’s tired of Shamrock costing him matches. He’s tired of Shamrock bragging about how he was the first to use the ankle lock in the WWF. Angle says if Shamrock is so great, why doesn’t he face him at Vengeance. Shamrock comes out and says he’ll take Kurt up on his offer. Shamrock gets in the ring and says Kurt’s made a career out of stealing other people’s trademarks. Benoit’s rolling german suplexes. Ric Flair’s whoos. His ankle lock. Angle is going to get punished at Vengeance for his crimes. Shamrock turns away to leave the ring but Kurt jumps him. Kurt pulls him into the middle of the ring to put in the anklelock, but Shamrock rolls and grabs Angle’s leg, and applies the anklelock on him. Angle taps as Shamrock lets up, rolls out of the ring, and celebrates.

Steve Blackman vs. Big Show vs. Billy Gunn vs. Albert vs. Farooq vs. Bradshaw vs. Edge vs. Hardcore vs. Crash Holly vs. Hardcore Holly vs. Kane

Edge eliminates Kane with a dropkick sending him over the top rope at 9:13.

 

Christian watches in dismay from Stone Cold’s locker room. Michael Cole interrupt and ask Stone Cold how he feels about tagging with Shamrock against Kurt Angle and the Rock. Christian gets up and beats him down.

 

 

<Commercial Break>

 

 

Molly Holly ask Hardcore and Crash if they’ll except here back after she got dumped by the Hurricane. Hardcore just laughs at her.

 

Light-Heavyweight Championship

X-Pac vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy

The Hardys spend most of the match double teaming X-Pac, but at about 5:00, they begin to fight over who should get the pinfall. X-Pac rolls up Jeff, but Matt breaks it up. He begins to brawl with X-Pac before Jeff gets up and they start brawling. X-Pac throws powder in Matt’s eyes and he hits Jeff with a Twist of Fate by accident. X-Pac pins Matt after he hits him with the X-Factor at 8:27.

Christian enters Foley’s office and says he wants the battle royal to be voided because he believes Edge cheated. Foley says he can’t get out of his office because he has a match to prepare for.

 

Hardcore Championship

RVD vs. Tajiri

Back and forth match. Chain wrestling to start, phases into the trainwreck spots at 5:10. RVD wins in 10:21 with a five star frog splash.

Matt and Jeff argue backstage and Lita tries to break them up. Foley gets in between and says they have to put their problems aside because they’re family. Matt and Jeff continue to argue, so Foley grants them a re-match against X-Pac at Vengeance.

 

Intercontinental Championship

Christian vs. Eddie Guerrero

Eddy dominates their early part of the match, but Christian comes back late. Christian grabs a chair from ringside, and tries to hit Eddie, but Edge runs out and saves him. The ref rings for the bell at 6:29.

Tag Team Championship

The Dudleys vs. the Hollys

Normal stuff here. The Dudleys win after Molly distracts Crash and Hardcore gets caught in a 3-D at 5:22.

 

Austin and Shamrock are shown coming to the ring on the split screen.

Rock/Angle vs. Shamrock/Austin

Rock and Austin start out but Austin immediately tags Shamrock. Shamrock and Rock brawl. Angle gets tagged in but gets beat by Shamrock. Austin calls for the tag. Big brawl breaks out around 8:10. Big finish-off sequence with everyone hitting at 10:00. Angle and Austin get dumped and brawl on the outside. Rock hits the rockbottom on Shamrock to finish at 13:42. Rock leaves up the ramp, as Austin gets back in the ring and starts to beat down Shamrock. Tazz comes out of the crowd and chokes out Austin as the show runs off the air.
