Conker's Bad Fur Day and Perfect Dark

The only games I ever bought for my N64 were the wrestling games, so I figured for this low price, I may as well have some variety. Anyone have these games, or at least know enough about them to give a recommendation before I foolishly spend money that can be used on other things?

Perfect Dark is an excellent First Person Shooter. If you like First Person Shooters there is no reason to pass up Perfect Dark for $9.95 unless you already own something that's better.

Conker's Bad Fur Day gets my recommendation for game that every N64 owner should buy. It combines good, fun, sometimes challenging gameplay with some very funny jokes along the way. Some people may dislike the someone gross humor in the game, but it is all in fun.

Well, Perfect Dark was made by the same developers who made GoldenEye 007 (also for the n64) using practically the same engine. If you've ever played GoldenEye, then you know what to expect. It's a great game, one of the best for the n64, featuring an awesome multi-player and single-player game... it's the complete package. Some members from the same team also went on to do Timesplitters 2.

Conker's Bad Fur Day was also created by the same team, albeit it's a different style of game. I admit not having too much experience with it, but it's humor is an acquired taste, though it's also held in high regard as one of the best n64 games put out.

I say at $10 each it's a good deal, considering that some time ago they were still selling at around full price. You should be warned though, that the n64 Expansion Pak is needed in order to access all of Perfect Dark's gameplay (I heard Conker is set-up to optimize the Expansion Pak as well, but I'm not too sure.)

yes expansion pack is a must for both

Actually, I'm pretty sure Conker doesn't support expansion pak. If it does it doesnt make much of a difference as I've played it with and without and havent seen anything. For Perfect Dark, yes, a must.

Perfect Dark is a steal at $9.95. It's amazing how much they were able to squeeze on N64's limited cartridges. Your 64 never worked all of its muscles at once like it will when you fire up this game. It was the best and deepest FPS I ever played until Timesplitters 2 came along.

Conker is a great game. Some of the jokes are clever, not to mention it's just a really good platform game. Also a good buy for $9.95. One thing people forget to mention about the game is the huge multiplayer option, which Rare could easily have sold as its own cartridge. This is also a game that pushed the limits of the 64 in its final days.

In short, Rare (old Rare, what it used to be before Microsoft bought them and the whole team quit for greener pastures) is responsible for two of the 64's greatest games, PD and Conker's BFD.

Perfect Dark AND Conker for a total of $20? I wouldn't even have to think twice about that. :)

I can't say I was a big fan of either game, but for 10 bucks, I don't see any reason to pass them up

Perfect Dark is an amazing game. The multiplayer is great, but even if you're friendless, the solo missions will keep you entertained, and with an expansion pack, you can play multiplayer with computer controlled sims (which are actually incredibly challenging). I think I'm going to play PD after I post this. I'm getting nostalgic. Also, Conker got good reviews everywhere (9's). I'd imagine that it's a steal at ten bucks. Actually, I'm ordering it from toysrus.com now that I have seen how cheap it is.

Conker BFD gets my vote for the single most eerie ending of all time. Trust me, if you ignore every other good thing which everyone else has already mentioned, it's still worth it.
