Guest Kinetic Report post Posted November 22, 2002 I'm baffled as to why Tritec doesn't ever visit the Music folder now. You've got, uh, what I would perceive as being pretty good taste. I've heard about 3/4 of a Julie Doiron song called "Will You Still Love Me" or something like that. It was pretty fantastic and I don't know what I haven't sought out anything of hers. Anyway... Book: Slaughter-House Five by Kurt Vonnegut Movie: The Godfather Band: Well...my all-time favorite recording artist is Bob Dylan. I can't pinpoint any one band as being my absolute favorite. Song: I've got about a million songs floating around in my head on a daily basis, so it would be irresponsible for me to even attempt to cite one as my favorite. Wrestler: Kurt Angle. Fav Wrestler ~Not really sure... Rey or Eddie, damn forgot about Kurt. For chrisma though Flair wins, and I haven't seen his best stuff.
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted November 22, 2002 I also support TRITEC becoming a regular at the Music folder. We need some fresh meat. Book: Infinite Jest, by David Foster Wallace Movie: GoodFellas. I've seen it 13 times, and I have yet to tire of it. Band/Artist: Waits, Tom. Song: The prospect of picking one song from so many great ones is far too daunting a task. Wrestler: Any one of SD!'s Holy Trinity.

I've heard about 3/4 of a Julie Doiron song called "Will You Still Love Me" or something like that. It was pretty fantastic and I don't know what I haven't sought out anything of hers. Anyway... I don't visit simply because I know very little about music. I couldn't keep up with you guys... and Inc. just referred to me as "fresh meat". The Julie Doiron song you're referring to is "Will You Still Love Me In December?" ...That's one of my favourites. Anyway.

It sounds like fun. At least you guys know something about music, unlike the punk/Eminem zombies I see at school. Stupid kids these days have no taste... All Eminem "zombies" aren't tasteless. *points to self* Yes, Eminem is one of my favorites I still know that there's some better stuff out there that ventures away from the 'rap genre' (which I don't even listen to that much) or from his work in general. Yeah, I didn't mean you. I was talking about people that listen to him blindly and think that he is the pinnacle of rap music, which simply isn't true. Guest Ace309 Report post Posted November 22, 2002 1. What is your favorite book? Fiction, Of Mice And Men. It's just a super, super book on all levels and got made into a kickass movie with Gary Sinise and John Malkovich. Nonfiction, it's a little tougher, but I'm currently reading Ethics For The New Millennium by the Dalai Lama. 2. Fav movie? Either "The Princess Bride" (for Andre purposes) or "My Blue Heaven" with Steve Martin and Rick Moranis. "As Good As It Gets" is, well... no corny title jokes here. 3. Fav Band? Overall, probably Dinkus 9. They're local, so as far as bands other people might know, I really like the Bosstones and Led Zeppelin. 4. Fav Song? Most likely "Kashmir." 5. Fav Wrestler? Lately I've been marking out for Spanky and Tenzan. So I've got all the bases covered, ne? But my true favorite is BIG DICK TOGO~!

Guest SP-1 Report post Posted November 22, 2002 1. What is your favorite book? Star Trek New Frontiers: Double Take by Peter David. Not because I'm some deranged Trekkie that only reads Trek novels and such, but rather because David is my favorite author right now, and the book is a perfect blend of Sci-fi/Trek and the Action/Spy genres. It's a great read if you're a Trek fan and a Bond/spy fan. 2. Fav movie? Moulin Rouge. The most recent one by Baz Lurhman. It's one of those love it or hate it movies, and I absolutely love it. Baz Lurhman is my film making hero. 3. Fav Band? I listen to far too much music with different eras and styles to have narrowed it down to a particular favorite. Elton John, Jewel, Metallica, Garbage, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, Linkin Park, Bon Jovi. I love all kinds of music. 4. Fav Song? Again, it's hard to pick. Foolish Games by Jewel, Near You Always by Jewel, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Overture by Michael Kamen, Earthcrosser by Veruca Salt, Sleep by Dandy Warhols. Music is just such an extraordinary thing to me that it's near impossible to have an exact favorite. 5. Fav Wrestler Either Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, or Mick Foley. Angle always entertains as well. I guess I'm more of an all around kinda guy rather than concentrating on one thing for the most part. SP
