Guest The Masked Yodeler Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 Well, Angle/HHH sucked, and Steph's interference was beyond lame. Of course, the match wasn't doing to well before she came down. Their match the week before last on Raw was great, but this one sucked. Overall Raw was okay. Nothing was offensively bad, and Storm/RVD was pretty damn good. But the booking is still stale as hell.
Guest The Masked Yodeler Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 Any new WM matches announced tonight? Nope. The midcard won't be announced until the Smackdown before WM, and the undercard on the Heat immediately before it.
Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 I thought Raw was ok, a little better than what we've been seeing lately, but the booking still needs a lot of improvement, although I really liked the Storm/RVD match.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 I thought they should of done more with the nWo, but oh well.
Guest Army Eye Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 Should've been the NWO making HHH lose, not Stephanie.
Guest Court Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 The nWo can't attack HHH if he's going to join them :-) Or at least, he better join them. But RaW was okay, but the last match went a little long though, and i still hold to my creed that Steph should never be allowed to talk on television, at all.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 ugh, is Jericho already in japan beause if he isn't there's no excuse for keeping hom off raw.
Guest Human Fly Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 I know Jericho was in Japan, but they are building HHH v. Angle like it will happen at 'mania. Is Angle for sure fighting Kane? Maybe they could add him to the main event. Also, when HHH got caught up in the ropes I was waiting for someone to nail him in the quad with the chair. I missed the first half of Raw and turned it on in the middle of Storm v. RVD and thought that RVD was really hurt. Best psychology I've seen in a tv match for a long time.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 i think it's virtually a lock that angle is wrestling kane at wrestlemania
Guest Tony149 Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 You wouldn't know by watching the last two weeks of WWF TV that HHH is wrestling Jericho at WM.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 He IS, I thought HHH was wrestling Stephanie, I mean she IS building her self as the ultimate HEEL
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 This was a decent RAW, best in weeks. There were problems (ex. the matches weren't that good), but if the WWF consistantly put on shows like this I wouldn't complain nearly as much.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 I enjoyed the backstage nWo skits, would've been better if they were beating up wrestlers. I hated the rock video package that was easily the worst one yet.
Guest cabbageboy Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 I thought Raw was pretty good tonight aside from the long drawn out NWO beatdown on Austin. Hell I even enjoyed seeing Hall squash Spike, reminded me of his WWF debut in 1992. Oh gee, did I see RVD doing something called SELLING? Yes, he can in fact do it. Dare I say that between his selling of the leg tonight and his selling of the shoulder against Jericho at the Sept. PPV, he actually has the most psychology in his matches of anyone right now. However, there is one awful aspect of this leg "injury." It means at WM Regal will just work the leg for 15 minutes and it will be a slow as shit mat based match with no aerial moves from RVD. And that is gonna suck. Is Jericho the biggest lame duck in history or what? I like the guy, but man....
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 it's almost impossible to tell he's the champ, they have him running errands for stephanie for fuck sake. gimme a break...
Guest imajackoff? Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 Why couldn't they just say that Jericho was in Japan? Because then Steph couldnt exhibit how powerful she is by showing that she has the Undisputed Champ (Chris.. something) under her thumb. I mean, she IS the reason we all watch every week. Anyways, who would want to see a boring HHH/Jericho match at WM?? They need the added drama of that heat machine known as Stephanie to make that thing watchable. She can take a nothing match and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile. In fact, I dont know how any of us watched before 1999 when Stephanie came into our lives and graced us with her undeniable talents.
Guest Gert Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 It wasn't a Rock video package, it was a (somewhat) subtle Scorpion King promo.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 I don't think it was subtle at all. they'll ram it down our throats like the xfl and tough enough.
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 Yeah, I'm afraid daddy's little girl hasn't taken the hint that noone wants her on the tv screen. I also have a STRONG GUT feeling that we are gonna witness a HHH-Steph swerve where Trips and Steph reveal their diabolical plan to get the title back, making Jericho a defacto babyface after the fact.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 i've been having the same feeling and here i thought it was just the flu.
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 No, that feeling is the cringe you get when you realize that Steph and Trips will probably be the focus of the more "workrate intensive" Smackdown, thus covering diamonds with shit.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 I think i'm going to cry. read my predictions.(so this is what it's like to shill! No wonder Foley Likes it so much.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 RVD/Storm should be at Wrestlemania. The WWF should have had Storm win on Heat. Than RVD beats Regal on Raw, Storm attacks him. Demands a match for the IC title. Presto...at least a 3 star maybe even 4 star match.
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 "RVD/Storm should be at Wrestlemania" I agree wholeheartedly. I was loving that match tonight. RVD sold the fuck out of that leg. Storm played a good heel and the WWF gave them more than 2 minutes. If given 15 minutes in Storm's backyard, this could've been Storm's breakthru match. Ross and Lawler mentioned Storm didn't have an opponent for Mania so hopefully they give him a solid opponent and 15 minutes to work with.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 I loved how he sold the injury expessioly when he couldn't hop up onto the ropes. BRILLIANT
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 Best Raw in weeks. I fell asleep during the cage match...but I'm sick...so I won't blame HHH. Watching it on tape...the match sucked...So I WILL blame HHH. Any Raw that has RVD vs. Storm is a good Raw in my book. Storm is a superstar...if only the WWF knew that... RVD is a megastar...if only the WWF knew that... All they need is pushes...RVD is getting his...but what about Storm?
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 You will be glad to know, bps, that I thought that Storm/RVD was match of the night. See, I don't hate everything that RVD does.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 Storm is real good. It's not surprising that he and RVD can have good matches. Storm has really come a long way from his RVD match at Barely Legal. What's up with the selling of the leg by RVD? If he would have sold the back at No Way Out the match would have gotten an extra 1/4*-1/2*.
Guest converge241 Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 Storm and RVD was easily the best match of the night. They worked well together , the crowd was hot, and psychology was displayed. I cant wait to see Benoit - Storm, or Benoit -RVD. I was surprised by the finsh though, I thought for sure Storm would win somehow ala Show's fluke win over Regal to make the IC a 4 way. Overall the show was very good. It had a strange feeling about it, like it was a preview of things to come when the split happens, with so many differnt characters getting mic time and exposure that you dont normally see.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 I thought that Storm would win too... If Regal hadn't been overseas...he probably would have cost RVD the match with the knucks. I think they should have planned who was on that tour better. Simply keeping Regal in the US and having him knockout RVD would have added some heat to the match. Plus Storm would have had his first TV win in...........how long? But I can't really complain about a match that ends clean.
