This makes me feel a little better ...

After Hulk Hogan backed out of his match against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, WWE had to decide between Big Show and Chris Benoit, and eventually chose Show. Paul Heyman pushed for Rey Mysterio, but that match was not deemed to be appropriate.

Kurt Angle was never really mentioned because WWE is saving the Angle/Lesnar match for as long as possible, also perhaps for Wrestlemania.

Up until a week before Survivor Series, the plan was for Brock to win and continue plowing through WWE. However, McMahon felt they could extend the feud at least one month with Show screwing Brock and then Brock going for revenge in December.

Benoit is still considered for a title run, but it wouldn’t be until Spring or Summer 2003.

Angle vs. Lesnar at WM? Check.

Benoit title reign? Check.

Title off Big Show? Check.

Now how long before the WWE fucks it all up again?

I would have preferred a clean Brock-Angle-Benoit transition, without Big Slow mucking things up in the middle.

Well, that's quite obvious. Nobody wants to have Big Show win the title and be in main events.

And to top it off, WWE actually thinks that this will sell the show on the internet on-demand ordering system...

Look at this, it's actually on the WWE main page right now.

Slapnuts00....is it me, or did Jeff grow his hair out a bit?

Yup, he had a buzz cut in WCW, but has been growing his hair out since the start of NWA-TNA. Hopefully, he keeps it at this length, I never liked his long country hairstyle.

That's Jarrett in your sig pic? I thought it was Corino.

I should know by the name, yeah, but usually I don't check those out much.

And as long as Show doesn't get majorly over (yeah right), I have no problem with him dropping it again at the PPV.

Does that mean when he wins the title back Anglesault stops watching SD again?

No. I'll be less annoyed if he wins the belt now, because he is over enough to be considered now. When he first won it, his matches sucked and he wasn't over, so I felt he had no right bring champion. Of course, I refuse to watch any of his segments, but my boycott of the show is over.

I'm shocked AS hasn't pointed out that by saving Lesnar/Angle for the big show...

They just turned Lesnar face.

Odds just went up that Angle loses that match.

Eh, you never know...

They COULD do another Face vs. Face match.

Worked for Warrior/Hogan, Bulldog/Hart IC, and building up to it, Austin/Rock (though Austin turned heel at the end of that)

No, because I think when they put the title back on Brock it's to stay until Wrestlemania, and Angle's face turn seems to be commencing as planned.

Watch the company go down the shitter as a guy who's been a face for four months defends the belt against a Tweener.

Great...even when one of your favorites has a possibility of getting into the main event you have to be negetive.

That's his gimmick. What did you expect?

I'm thinking realistically. Brock has JUST turned, so he hasn't hit super duper face status yet. Angle is a Tweener, so he isn't strong heel foil to face the not quite tippity top face Brock. Neither of them are big enough to do a face vs. face Mania.

YOU are correct sir!

That's why we need Austin passing the torch to Brock at WM XIX.

If their respective careers have proved anything so far, it is that you should not underestimate what both Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar can do as regards overness. Even when the quick championship win is taken into account, Brock has gotten very over very, very quickly. He debuted in April and is already the most over face in the company IMO, and he didn't even get a face push until the last three weeks. Angle has also shown the ability to get very over freakishly quickly. At Summerslam 01 and just beforehand his pops were at Rock/Austin levels. The only reason that didn't continue was because of September 11, which harmed Angle's face run irreparably. Both guys have also shown in-ring improvement at great speed and have survived some really terrible booking with their overness intact. If Angle is conclusively turned, I see no obstacles to a WM superface collision between the two.
