Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye

from the almighty BWBK.com(go there immediately after reading the rest of this)

CRADLE OF FILTH are warning fans about the existence of a so-called biography on the band which is available on video entitled From The Cradle To The Grave. This unofficial biography claims to feature interviews with the band and live footage. Cradle Of Filth have had nothing to do with the production of this video and have not been interviewed for the project. Due to the unknown quality of this product, the band urge fans not to waste their money on this unofficial video.

SATYRICON frontman Satyr will co-produce and mix DARKTHRONE’s forthcoming album, Hate Them. The release will be recorded in December for a February release through Moonfog. Tracks to appear on the album include ‘Rust’ and ‘Fucked Up And Ready To Die’.

According to Knac.com, Universal are set to release the CD/DVD package Blue Wild Angel: JIMI HENDRIX: Live At The Isle Of Wight this November, more than 30 years after it was recorded. The release is to commemorate what would have been the guitarists 60th birthday on November 27th,

had he lived. The concert was recorded in August 1970, just 18 days before Hendrix died. The Isle Of Wight show is often billed as Hendrix’ final concert, when he actually played a 13 song set several days later, on September 6th at the Fehmron Love & Peace Festival in Germany. This release will also contain interviews with a few of the people who were involved in the concert on the Isle, although it includes little behind-the-scenes or backstage footage of Hendrix himself.

Included in the individually numbered limited edition packages containing the live CD and the film on DVD, there will also be a memorabilia section that displays items such as the festival’s concert poster and other related works. Included in the tracklisting are his renditions of ‘God Save The Queen’ and THE BEATLES ‘Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band’. Other tracks include ‘Purple Haze’, ‘Foxy Lady’, ‘All Along The Watchtower’, ‘Dolly Dagger’ and ‘Red House’.

I put the Cradle Of Filth thing in there just so someone who may have seen it doen't go for it. Just a friendly warning about that one.

Although I seem to be in the minority of opinion I have enjoyed the latter day output of Darkthrone so I'm very much looking forward to this one. Am I alone in this?

As far as the Jimi cash grab albums that constantly get put out(I mean really, can there be any material that is unreleased?), I have no interest in fattening label wallets at the expense of a man who is long dead.

That's the news...or at least a small chunk of it. carry on
