I don't want to spend all my money on a brand new PS2 so I went on ebay, would it be okay to get one off there, not like a 10 dollar one, but like 125-150, just so i can get a memory card, and borrow games from people until i get my own games, is this s good idea, or stupid

If you get a good, working system it is a good idea. If you get a system that doesn't work or maybe even no system at all it is a bad idea. There is always a risk with Ebay.

Just make sure you check the feedback before bidding. If the feedback makes the seller look legit then it's pretty safe to bid on it.

I believe a used Playstation costs $185 at EB and a new one costs $200. Considering that, why would I buy a used one?

I got a Gamecube, 6 games (Tony Hawk 3, Madden 2002, Super Smash Brothers: Melee, Cel Damage, SSX: Tricky and Extreme G 3), 4 official controllers, 2 official Memory Card 59's and an official RF adapter for 375 bucks after the Gamecube that I got right after launch was stolen. I sold back 2 of the games (Cel Damage and XG3) for 45 bucks on EBay, so basically I got a Cube, 4 Games, 4 Controllers and 2 Memory Cards for about 325 bucks on Ebay, which was a great deal until like 2 weeks later when they lowered the price of the Gamecube.

Im thinking of selling off two of the controllers and 1 or both of the memory cards (I have a Memory Card 251 now) and possibly Tony Hawk 3 for some cash, but I doubt I'll be able to get more than 60 bucks for it all.
