Another thing, doesn't Tommy have a slight resemblance to everybody's favorite, Matt Hardy V.1?

Yes, yes he does

Anyone got a link to the pictures of the Pink Ranger in whatever magazine she was in? I heard she's gotten hotter than ever.

Check out the movie Pursuit of Happiness (or look in KaZaa) where she does a nude scene (it's not that great though).

Wasn't one of the later Power Rangers the always-naked foreigner in "Not Another Teen Movie"???

Boy, she's done all right for herself (career wise  and physically ;) )

Indeed she was and indeed she has. Ms. Cerina Vincent was Areola in NATM as well as Maya (aka the Yellow Galaxy Ranger) in Power Ranger: Lost Galaxy and a couple of videos ("Return of the Magna Defender" and "Power Rangers in 3D: Triple Force"). IMDB rocks. :headbang:

Yes, the Power Ranger do own, very much so to be exact. My favorite character was Goldar. He was such a badass in season one when he had the real gravelly voice. It was sad when they started jobbing him out to Tommy. I mean geez, Tommy kicked his ass unmorphed and after he became the White Ranger he repeatedly made Goldar his personal bitch.

Screw HHH, Tommy is the real Cerebral Assassin.

I loved the show. My two personal faves being Billy and Tommy.

The cast changes bothered me, but none royally pissed me off more than when Kat took over the Pink Ranger role for Kimberly. It set me off from ever watching the show again...at least on a regular basis. The Zeo era was just a mess where they failed to push Billy as the obvious choice for the Gold Ranger. Jason was brought in for like 3 seconds and did nothing until being called back years later for the kick ass Red Ranger Reunion show (don't mind that Rocky wasn't there, really).

That rat fuck scroteless bastard child Justin dawning the Blue Ranger suit in the Turbo era was 'it' as far dumbshit creative ideas went. The Turbo movie licked ass as well and vastly paled in comparison to its much better predecessor.

After that cast transition, I didn't even bother tuning in just to catch up. The only time I've been interested in any way was the recent Wild Force Ep I mentioned above.

Man, I'd love a type of Reunion show. I know it'll never happen but seeing the original cast together one last time would bring a tear of joy to my eye. Anyone know if the Thuy Trang is really dead? Sucks if it's true. :(

From Imdb.com:

(3 September 2001) Thuy was driving on I-5 between San Francisco and Los Angeles when another driver hit her car. The unidentified woman was unharmed in the accident because she had her seatbelt on, but Thuy died upon impact because she didn't have her seatbelt on.

The 2nd major cast transition was probably the best one - well, except that they didn't get rid of Justin, but thankfully he only lasted through Turbo. It gave us the only non-caucasian leader in TJ, and arguably gave us the hottest female lineup in Ashley, Cassie and Astronema.

Maybe he lost a "shootout" and was forced to make it...

Wow, I did a quicky Google search for info about Super Sentai (the series overdubbed/recut into Power Rangers) and found a pretty comprehensive site (supersentai.com), which boasts photos like this:

Maybe, just maybe one day I can save up the cash to import one of those DVDs. As fun as Power Rangers was... to have the originals looks to own even more.

By the way, one thing I always wondered about Lord Zed... since he replaced Rita because her methods hadn't destroyed the Power Rangers, why did he use the exact same methods?

What ever happened to Lord Zed and Rita anyway? Did the Power Rangers actually defeat them or did they just vanish off the face of the earth all of a sudden? I did not watch the show long enough to see what happened to them in the end.

I believe that at the end of Power Rangers in Space they were transformed into good people.

Don't all the villains use the same methods?

Well, yea, but he didn't have to put her in a jar over it if he was going to turn around and make exactly the same mistake.

*remembers when he and his buddies used to put their toy zords together to make the giant "ultra" zord*

I had the dragonzord...and it owned all sorts of ass. Anyway, the "Green with Evil" miniseries should be given a shrine all to its own, because that was freaking compelling TV for a seven or eight year old.

I agree. Well, not a shrine, but a fantastic memory in the geek collective heart.

The original two seasons kicked inifinite kinds of ass. It was when they blatantly ignored the movie and gave them the Ninja powers in a completely different way on the series that I said screw it. I watched it for a while, and after that whole Alien Rangers thing, I fell away.

Next thing I knew, they were in space and I didn't know who the hell these people were and I've never been able to find out what happened in the storylines. Without that backup history, I had no interest in watching any longer.

Tommy was the f'ing man. I remember being a much younger romantic than I am now. When he and Kim got together, I was psyched.

You know, I think I know why Tommy was the f'ing man. His battle cry was different from the rest. When everyone else would go "Hi-yah!", he was "Zi-taahh!" And when he did he battle cry, you knew someone was going to get their ass kicked.

It was kinda like Brock Lesnar's theme music.

I suppose Im going to be the only one that hated the Power Rangers from Start to present.

Plus the Live bastardization of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that Fox had a while back might as well have been called Mighty Morphin Power Turtles.

TMNT as a show(the old cartoon and possibly the new one, but not the live show)/movies/toys/video games rule over the Power Rangers..

How about just a DVD release? :D

One or more of those episodes BETTER be included on that compilation DVD that hits April next year (whaddya know, just in time for my birthday *cough*)...

And as for Marvin not liking Power Rangers, I can respect that. Like any kitschy nostalgic popularity thing, you're either totally into it or you just have no idea how something so dumb could be so popular.

They will have a DVD with that episode, with The Forever Red ep and others.

MMPR had a great first season. I loved it, looking back now. The show nearly lost me at Turbo, then Space i came back to it, and I somewhat glad i did.

However, the production company (MMPR productions) was disbanded by Disney (Those fuckers...) and now AOL Time Warner's Aussie arm, Village Roadshow, will do the new Ninja Storm. So now the series is gonna start sucking all kinds of ass, and is now a Kids WB show for ABC Family/Kids.

Tommy and Jason rocked...and will rock forever. Why these two guys are not big in H-Wood only shows there is no justice there.

Well I'm in the same boat as Treble Charged. I was like A Power Rangers zealot, until the movie came out. I know I had stopped when the kid ranger came in, it got pretty weak then. It seems like I watched the show longer than two seasons but holy frappe I don't remember anything beyond it. I barley remember what I saw. Anyway, Tommy = ownz0r.

According to imdb.com poor Jason David Frank (Tommy) ended up starring on crappy late night soap Undressed. Yeesh...

I'm kinda in the same boat. I actually dug the movie. It was light years better than that bastard of a sequel the Turbo movie. Their suits in the movie kicked roughly 900 types of ass and wouldn't stop. My only gripe was we never got to see the Thunderzords in CGI form. Oh, and that annoying kid who we've never seen in the series before, but managed to know the Power Rangers.

But yeah, ignoring the movie and introducing one of the most irritating characters in history (Ninjor) made me just want to turn it off. That and Goldar being turned into the biggest pussy this side of Baboo and Squat.

I never really got into the Power Rangers... give me f'n Voltron and I'm a happy camper...

Yeah, Goldar did become a whiny bitch in the movie. A far cry from the badass that I kinda wanted to dethrone Rita and take over. If Goldar woulda taken over, I think he could have given those costumed kids a run for their money.

What happened after the Clock King came on the scene? I remember him being there but from there I don't know what happened. I think his name was Clock King. . .

I watched the end of Forever Red. I was suprised that they went with the obvious choice of duh, duh, duh

TOMMY as the Greatest ranger PERIOD. I thought they would fuck with your head and chose Jason or the guy in the Green Beret hat.

I was watching a recap show hosted by the guy who played Adam a couple of years ago. I must say that the 5 minutes of Japenese Power Ranger clips that they showed were awesome.

Time Force was way better then I expected because the main bad guy surrenders peacefully. They actually killed somebody as the leader of the TIME FORCE, and boyfriend of the Pink Ranger is killed, and the TIME FORCe go off in time to get their revenge.

I also noticed that they used more of a gunplay type of fighting as the Ranger only morphed unless they had to. Most of the time they would be fighting bad guys with two pistols and covered in bruises and cuts and just get their asses handed to them.

I hope in the 10000000000000000000000000 installment or spin off that they get rid of those damn sparks when the Rangers get hit and have more of the Time Force type of violence.

Did I mention Time Force was the most violent spin off?

Sorry to get off on a rant.

I'm actually with you in that I love the mecha anime better, but it helps to remember that Sentai is an entirely different animal.
