Guest the 1inch punch Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 You will notice, that now that Russo has being kicked out of the booking meetings, little projects of his like Sonny Siaki have been de-pushed, and Jerry Jarrett's projects like Malice are being re-pushed I just hope to God that this doesnt mean the Dupps, Disco and the midgets are retuning
Guest dreamer420 Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 I think the Jarrett's finally figured out that the Dupps, Midgets, Disco, and all the other crap that hasn't been on TNA recently was just a waste of money for them, since none of the fans wanted to see them.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 Exactly! The difference between Jarret's ideas and Russo's is Jarret will make his mistakes like the Dupps or Disco, but realizes when they're not what the fans want and will admit his wrong. Russo will push his ideas to death, no matter how bad they are, and just assume it's what the fans really want and blame any problems on his ideas being edited (as if they could get worse). Still Russo even being around means it will be easy for him to inteject himself, and he'd be next in line to take over booking if the situation arises.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 **pulls this post out from the negative regions of opinion** I happen to be a fan of Disco Inferno, and thought that The Dupps backstage skits were great. Sure, they're pretty generic workers whose best match was against Estrada/Siaki, but I still laughed at some of their matches. Just no more masturbating midgets, and I'm set.

I agree with that statement but I believe that after 22 or 23 weeks, the booking committee for TNA knows exactly what the fans want to see and they have gotten rid of the crap that we don't. Of course you could count Vince Russo himself against my argument but I believe that we will see something new from Vince Russo this time around. I'm hoping that if he does get included in the booking, he will leave the X Division as it is, because in my opinion, the X division is the strongest thing going for TNA right now and they need to build of that.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I thought the Dupps were funny, and they even had a decent-ish match once against the Elvises. But the Dupp Cupp stuff killed them. I don't mind Disco as a wrestler, but a talk show? Pass. No more midgets.
Guest dreamer420 Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 No more midgets. We can only hope and pray for this.
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 I like Disco as well.. or at least I did when he was in WCW. I thought that he had potential.. just his gimmick was horrible. I remember when he gave one of the Harris twins a sandwich to wrestle in his place on Nitro. Man, that was funny as hell. Midget wrestlers have always sucked. The Dupps have always sucked.
Guest The Notorious CRD Posted November 26, 2002 Report Posted November 26, 2002 I'd love to see Disco back in TNA in a wresting capacity, but that talk show crap was boring. I liked the Dupps too, but I agree that the Dupp Cup was stupid beyond words and hurt them as characters.
