What is the best console RPG of all time?

Since people mentioned how Chrono Trigger was better than any FF game in the other thread, I figured I'd do a "best RPG" thread to see how it (and some other games) stand up. Ten choices really isn't enough, but I tried to put all the popular choices up, even the ones I despise (FF4 and Xeno).

 

Anyway, my vote is still for FF6.

FFVI. Chrono Trigger is a close second, but aside from the ability system, everything it does, FFVI does better.

With Chrono Trigger in there, my vote bcomes much tougher to decide, but FF6 still has the better story, even though I liked CT's gameplay more.

FFVI over Trigger by a nose...though both would easily land on a "Top 10 Games of All Time" list if I wanted to make one.

Maybe because its lighter and more cartoonish then FF or Trigger.

Suikoden 2, easily. Probably the best RPG I have ever played.
