Guest poontank Report post Posted November 24, 2002 I have been collecting Iron Man since around issue 200, and I have every issue from about 90 - now. In that time, I cannot say the book has ever been one of my favorites, but Mike Grell has turned the book into something I could occasionally enjoy into a task to get through. After almost 18 years of collecting the title, I told the store manager where I shop that I will not be collecting the book any longer. What is Marvel thinking keeping Grell on the book. Guest realsandman420 Report post Posted November 27, 2002 i was really disappointed. i loved grell's green arrow...if you never read it...shame on you!!! go to the comic book store and buy them all!!! i read the first 4-5 issues of his new run on iron man, and i am not that impressed with it. and i so wanted to like it. Guest pochorenella Report post Posted November 27, 2002 I'm a loyal Iron Man reader and I still buy every issue that comes out. The first few issues of Grell's run I thought were okay, until that bombshell with Tony revealing his identity. After that it's been pretty subpar for me, including IM's latest time-travelling adventure with Grell on pencils, too. I've only heard wonders and praise over Mike Grell for his Green Arrow work but he really has to work more on his Iron Man. The artwork has come a long way from the god-awful days of Keron Grant but I think the stories have to pick up and pick up soon or else IM's going down the drain.
