Guest Paranoid Report post Posted November 26, 2002 That Dudley's segment with Jericho and Christian was classic! The "Little General" line and the "ass cream" statements that Buh Buh said had me rolling in the floor. The writers actually made me laugh at a segment on RAW instead of laughing at RAW for the first time in months! GOOD JOB!
Guest Ram Report post Posted November 26, 2002 Actually, I felt of kind of embarassed and anxious for it not to get worse. Like I've said many times about other wrestlers, TOTALLY NOT what they should be doing. Somewhat entertaining, but kind of a waste of time. I want to see action sometime, you know. Not an hour of incredibly silly antics surrounding something that happens on teen/kid sitcoms.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted November 26, 2002 I actually thought RAW was entertaining this week. It seems RAW has been entertaining lately. Well, to me anyways.
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted November 26, 2002 It was slightly above "mildly amusing," but I'm pretty tolerant of that sort of thing. "You wanna give away my...Christian's ass cream?" Humorous.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2002 Parts of it were hilarious, but I don't find it too funny that it's just more dirt thrown on the grave of Jericho's credibility in the eyes of the marks. What was the point of it? To build up a match? They could have done that off the end of the match alone.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted November 26, 2002 Jericho and Christian are great together...I don't mind them having the whole funny pick on the heels deal done on them, it works for the show. I was into Raw before the predictable HHH run in
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted November 26, 2002 I found it pretty humorous, as well. However, as I was laughing, it was just like, "Wow, I thought Chris was being buried before."

Guest Kinetic Report post Posted November 26, 2002 Definitely. Christian and Jericho works for all the reasons that Christian and Storm didn't work. They're allowed to be funny and showcase their natural charisma, not to mention the fact that they gel pretty well as a team. It is kind of a waste of Jericho, but I'm pretty accustomed to that at this point. Better he be involved in a good tag team than doing nothing as a singles wrestler. Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted November 26, 2002 The whole stealing clothes part was funny. It was less funny when the Dudleys got in the ring though, I think.
Guest bcu1979 Report post Posted November 26, 2002 Yeah, let's humiliate our heel tag champs for an entire hour. First, we'll have them run around in towels backstage and make small penis jokes. Then we'll make gay innuendos about them. Then we'll have them stripped naked so everyone can laugh at them some more. Haha. Now, we know that no one will ever take them seriously. What a great idea. Anyone want to guess that this is in reaction to complaints that Triple H doesn't "show ass" as a heel? Why not do this stupid angle with Storm and Regal? Their upside is significantly lower. It's just assanine that they buried Jericho once again to get over two career midcarers. And they had just started to build up Jericho as credible heel again. But let's throw that all down the tubes since Triple H decided to come back as a heel. All other heels must be humiliated and buried immediately. What's the point? Jericho is so far above a tag feud with the Dudleys and if they are going to feed him to Steiner, why bury him first? Of course Jericho still managed to make the skits somewhat humorous even though they were done to bury him. Just a complete waste of talent.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted November 26, 2002 I dunno...if Jericho and Christian come out next week with brutal chair beat downs I think they can be saved...but if they keep up the comedy against them it'll suck. This'll lead to a ppv match where the Dudleys win the tag belt back...maybe a tables match or cage match or something

This is the perfect heat for them. They get embaressed and come back with a massive beat down next week. Look past just tonight. It's a feud and a much needed one at that. The writers could make this go on for a while if it's done right.

The guys with enough talent and charisma can take the crappy booking for months on end and still recover in the fan's eyes when they start to get something of a push. Hell, Jericho jobbed clean to Chyna. That's probably more embarassing than being stripped naked in the long run. The point is there's no reason to be humilating a guy who should be one of your top stars in silly midcard comedy angles. Strip Regal. He'll make some funny faces so everyone can laugh and he's never going to be a top guy anyway. I'd rather they just drop the belts to the Dudleys so Jericho can start a singles feud with Booker or Steiner or RVD. Hell, I'd rather Jericho and Christian feud with each other. Let the Dudleys feud with 3 Minute Warning and J.R.'s favorite team.
Guest Paranoid Report post Posted November 26, 2002 Umm there are much better ways of building this up. This reminds me of something they would have Edge do. You are completly right. But I think that as far as entertainment value goes this was an excellent way to build up the feud.

Too long apparently since I didn't see the start of some compelling feud. I just saw two guys being humiliated to ensure they don't get over as credible heels since God! has returned to rule RAW once again after his one week absence. How come all non-Triple H/HOSS WWE heels have to be geeks, losers and jackasses who are portrayed as not being "real" stars? Jericho, Christian, Kurt Angle, Matt Hardy, John Cena, etc. They all play variations on the same characters. Booker T was treated the same way when he was a heel. And then the WWE wonders why no one ever gets to that next level.

Dude, Trips fucked a corpse! That is the dorkiest shit I have ever seen. When has Triple H ever been portrayed as someone who thinks he's a big star when he's really not? When has Triple H ever been portrayed as being out of his league against an opponent? When does J.R. not suck up to Triple H by saying he's "That Damn Good" and he's "The Game" over and over again? How come other heels are not portrayed in the same manner? Instead, when Jericho boasts about how great he is, he gets mocked by the announcers. Why don't they push it that even though Jericho has a big ego, he has the credentials to back it up like they have engrained in everyone mind when it comes to Triple H? As for Katie Vick, last I checked RAW still revolved around Triple H while Kane was jobbing to Triple H's newest sidekick in 2 minute matches.

I'm with you, I enjoyed RAW tonight. Well, up until the return of YOU KNOW. As for the Jericho / Christian stuff, I thought that it was generally amusing when the Chris' were running the bit, but as usual the Dudleys are poison to me. Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted November 26, 2002 I'm sorry, but I didn't tune in to this shite in WCW with Douglas and Kidman, and I sure as hell won't watch it now. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 26, 2002 Eh I suppose it was humerous for 10-20 minutes. It just kept getting worse the longer it went. 10-20 minutes of "haha the heels are so stupid" is alright, but an hour is far too much of it for it to remain funny. But if your idea of humor is random lame Nickelodean teen shows then fine. I just don't find humor fit for a show like "All That" to be all that fu nny
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted November 26, 2002 heh, "All That" sucked ass..but hey, at least Goodburger had Less Than Jake do the title track... now for those types of shows, you need to watch "Salute Your Shorts"...if it's ever on again
Guest Mole Report post Posted November 26, 2002 Ass Cream bit was funny. The part when Jericho said " And you can't throw my shirt, Christians pants, and my..err..Christians Ass Cream" Jericho is the man.
Guest BA_Baracus Report post Posted November 26, 2002 The "ass cream" was incredibly stupid. Why not take out a tube of preperation H or something? "Ass cream" is just mornic. What was funny was Jericho's line "...with my ass cream, er...I mean Christian's ass cream". Anyways...humor that could have been written by an 8 year old aside, Raw was actually pretty entertaining this week. Could that have had anything to do with the lack of Triple H? Naaaaah...that's just crazy talk.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 26, 2002 I will say one thing however. Jericho is the only reason any of it was remotely funny. If Jericho and to a lesser extent Christian weren't involved in it everyone in this thread would be referring to it as painful to watch and completely stupid. Guest Ace309 Report post Posted November 26, 2002 I've got to agree with "Ass Cream" being somewhat ridiculous. It was a great idea, but I can't help but wonder if they found out the day of the show that they weren't allowed to use KY-Jelly or Steve Martin's Penis Cream ("For a softer, more luxurious penis") or something. Guest Blayde Starrfyre Report post Posted November 26, 2002 But if your idea of humor is random lame Nickelodean teen shows then fine. Whoa, hold up, Nickelodeon has some of the greatest shows of all time. Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude, Doug, Rugrats, Clarissa Explains it All, Roundhouse, and the greatest TV show ever, Pete & Pete. Yeah, the whole "Ass Cream" was stupid, since "ass cream" is doubtlessly NOT a real product. The fans are smart enough to get the joke when it's Preparation H or KY Jelly, we don't need a big can with the label "ass cream" to understand. Jesus.
