There shtick doesn’t pop the crowds, so I’ll move the belts off them quickly. On the bright side, Daniels debut went well. Raw: -The Rock makes his way out, and decides that he’s going to take over the show until he gets an opponent. Out of the crowd comes the debuting William Regal, who beats him severely.(94) -As The Rock is taken away by the medical staff, Regal calls out an opponent. - William Regal defeats Chyna via the Butterfly Powerbomb.(70) -Intercontinental Champion Eddie Guerrero attacks Kane, leaving him lying backstage.(89) -Tag Team Champion Bubba Ray Dudley defeats Jeff Hardy via Bubba Bomb.(76) -Chris Jericho and Stone Cold Steve Austin are interviewed backstage.(98, Jericho +2) -Chris Jericho and Stone Cold Steve Austin defeat Chris Benoit and World Champion Triple H via Jericho’s Lionsalt on Triple H.(90) Ratings: 85% Crowd Rating, 6.94 Comments: Regal’s debut went well, and my feuds (Benoit/Austin, Jericho/Triple H, Eddie/Kane) all seem to be doing well. Smackdown!: -Val Venis challenges anyone in the back for his European title. His challenge is met with the strains of a very oriental sounding music: The Ultimo Dragon has debuted. (79) Ratings: 78, 6.25 Comments: My debuts continue to go well, with the crowd really warming up to The Ultimo Dragon. The rebuilding of belts is coming along nicely as well. I’m still not liking the Dudleyz reactions, though, and I might faze them out and repackage. Heat: -Torrie Wilson debuts on screen, and introduces us to her new charge, Sean O’ Haire. (74) - Sean O’ Haire d. X-Pac via Cruel Intentions. (77) - Kane gets ready to give an interview, but is bloodied from behind by Eddie Guerrero. (95) Ratings: 88, 6.97 Comments: Hey, ratings are up! The only problem I see is that my projects aren’t really ready for prime time. You’ll probably see Daniels, Dragon, Tajiri, and O’ Haire relegated to Heat for now, unless they do well on Smackdown. Plus, more X-Pac jobbing= good times. Steve Blackman via Snow Plow. (78) Ratings: 77, 2.82 Comments: I’m not to worried about Heat’s ratings, since it’s going to be a breeding ground for new talent. As long as my new guys get enough time to develop, it should be okay. Oh, and I learned Austin/Benoit is great for a ratings pop. I decided it was the opponents I was throwing at my guys that were part of the problem, so we’ll give ‘em more time. Raw: -Ultimo Dragon d. Blackman via Dragon Suplex. (95) Ratings: 86, 6.25 Comments:Benoit and Austin= Ratings. It’s a good lesson, people. Kane and Eddie are a fun fued to, and The Dudleyz/Hardyz fued isn’t doing too much damage before I can move on.
