Communism doesn't restrict personal freedom, it promotes it. The fact is, many of the people in the world don't have access to food, water, medicine and other essentials. They may live in democratic countries, but what kind of freedom is that? Communism empowers people by giving them what they need to live, and live a good life. The foundation for this must be localised socialism, with nationalistion of companies exploiting countries, and provision of essential needs. An excellent model for this is the Allende government in Chile, but the US threw him out and replaced him with Pinochet, who is an excellent example for kissing ass or gun, as opposed to the democratically elected Allende. From this progression can be made to true world Communism.
