NO, Dear God, NO!!!!

Oh great, the Patriots are going back to their old jerseys for Thanksgiving with that gay minuteman on the helmet, one of the worst logos of all time. Don't make me remember the '86 Superbowl and countless losing seasons, NFL. That uniform ranks with the Broncos and Buccaneers old jerseys in the "designers must have chloroform poured in their eyes" bad jersey Hall of Fame.

So what's with the retro jerseys this year. Is there some special anniversery type thing that I don't know of. Or are NFL teams going to be like the NHL and have a third jersey that they can pull out when they feel like it.

The Falcons need to pull out their red jerseys.

Ah, the Broncos one wasn't that bad. The new one is superior, but the old one was serviceable.

Good ole Packers' G. Can't go wrong with that.

I sorta like the Redskins home logo/jersey this year, and Im willing to bet that they get rid of the Head logo and go with the Arrow logo next year to be somewhat politically correct. I still don't see the name of the team changing.

Of course, the arrow logo probably scares Spurrier to death.

It's gaudy, but it can't be as gaudy as when the Packers vs Lions had that retro game with no logos whatsoever.

How was no logos gaudy? Lack of decoration or bright colors can't make something gaudy.

The Florida State looking jersey is alot better looking than the other Redskins jersey. I hope they keep them next year and totally get rid of the other jersey.

But you gotta realize the pain that damn uniform brings back for Pats fans. I don't think it's a coincidence that they started getting good when they switched to the "Flying Elvis" logo and the blue and white and won a Superbowl when they changed to even better uniforms (the best in the league, IMO, Packers and Texans right behind them).

Because it's the Buccaneers. They could have a nude JLH as a logo and I'd still not give them credit.

And that's a SHOOT, BRUTHA!!!! The Packers will NEVER change their uniforms. Sure, they had that bit during the 80s where the G was on the sleeves of the jersey as well, but that was short-lived.

I never did like the Houston Oilers logo/ uniform, so the Texans logo is a definite step up from that.

A lot of teams are going Retro this week.

The lions logo IMO is worse than the old pats logo.

The Chargers non bolt logo is bad too.

And whats up with the Browns retro logo? It looks like a brown midget..

THIS JUST IN:

This year, the Cowboys' opponent is the Washington Redskins. The Redskins have played Dallas five times on Thanksgiving - and they have lost all five games! The Redskins also played the Lions once on Thanksgiving and lost - so they are a combined 0-6 on Turkey Day!

The New England Patriots are playing in Detroit on Thanksgiving. This will be the third Turkey Day game for the Patriots (they played in Detroit once and in Dallas once) - and so far they are 0-2!

So, 0-6 on Thanksgiving, 0-5 vs Dallas on Thanksgiving and 0-9 vs Dallas in the last 9 games...NOT GOOD.

Does anyone agree with me that NFL might need to elminate the Detroit/Dallas turkey day tradition? Let's face it, Either team are going anywhere.

My coworker supposed they have the AFC Champion play the NFC runner up(N.E/Philly) and the NFC Champion plays the AFC Runner up (Stl/Pittsburgh). Or just huge random teams that are consistently good (Dever, Green Bay, Miami, Pittsburgh, Cincy etc.)

So what u think?

Damnit the Cleveland gnome owns you! Wish they would start using him on more merchandise instead of just using a damn helmet.

So are the Chargers bringing out the Powder Blue uniform again or is it a different one.

Too bad Tampa Bay will never bring their old uniforms back again. I want to see the day glo orange again.

The Lions have had the same basic design for decades. The only uniform that was different than the current uniform were the ones without a logo on the helmet. But yes the logos that weren't on the uniforms were very ugly until they started using the helmet logo for everything.

Of course, the arrow logo probably scares Spurrier to death.

That explains why the Redskins haven't been so good this year. That, and they bring in players whose only saving grace is that they played for Spurrier in college.

On Madden 2003 they have old teams and players in the Madden Cards section, and when you flip the card it says something like "look out for Gridiron classic uniforms this Thanksgiving". Plus I've seen commercials with classic jerseys (with Peyton and his father's #8 Saints uniform).

I like the Redskin arrow better than the Indian. Pats uniforms rock, especially with the new lettering they introduced last year. I like the Rams jerseys over the old yellow and blue ones, but they haven't won a Super Bowl since switching over. The Broncos and Pats have won after switching jerseys. Back to jerseys, I love the Chargers powder blue jerseys and the old dark seagreen Miami jerseys too. And the Jaguars jerseys with the dark green pants rocked too.

No they should continue at least one of the traditions. I wouldn't be against doing away with one of the traditional teams, but no they shoudn't totally do away with it.

Also Dallas and Detriot always seem to play well on Thanksgiving no matter their record or who they are playing. I don't see any reason to change it since both always give good games even if they suck.

Redskins were just as bad last year as they are this year so no the uniforms aren't a reason.

The Patriots old uniforms were kick ass. The new Uniforms look like CFL ripoffs.

I like the old time jerseys/logos better than what MLB did a while back with the Future Jersey/logos for certain games. That was just plain stupid.

I think the NFL is using this weekend as a sort of charity event, since I read they are auctioning some of the balls and uniforms that are used this week.

And Verne, you can keep 'em, then.

It's no coincidence that the fortunes of the Tampa Bay organization took a turn for the better when they got rid of the most hideous uniforms in NFL history. How could a player have pride in his team when he's forced to play in something so gaudy it would make one of Kotz's raver friends blush? He couldn't and they didn't. Change to the kick-ass new uniforms and logo and suddenly the team's a contender year in and year out. It's no coincidence, people.

And I guess that Dungy guy might have had something to do with it, as well.

Great. He"ll take a Irving Fryar Jersey.

Guess what I also like the old Buccaneer's jersey. I've got an old Warren Sapp jersey.

After seeing the ad with young "Peyton Manning" wearing the old Archie Manning jersey, I was thinking of getting an Earl Campell Oilers jersey for Christmas.
