Gozer.

He/she nearly wasted the Ghostbuster's when they first faced off and it was rather convincing.

Gozer nukes all the others. Samhaine only came out around Halloween time anyway. I wanted to vote for the stadium where Winston played on the ghost baseball team, but Gozer was right there...

Fo sheez,

The Poltergiest was the Ghost that absobed other ghos to become a Super-Ghost, and it also ate Slimer, I hae read rumors that his name was Mr. Ugly, I don't know just watch, "Slimer, Come Home."

The only reason hy I added the Governor, is because his "pardon" was pretty funny.

Ghosts I wanted to add:

Nexa

Headless Horsemen/Motorcyclist

Loki

Four Horsemen

Boogalloo (Samhaine would kick the ass of the thing whose name no-one can spell)

Slob + Sleaze = Slob

I voted CthuLhu (spelling error there, Elv1s). Why? I'm a Lovecraft mark as well as being a huge GB mark :D

But of all the Ghostbusters ORIGINAL villains (meaning strictly created for the show), Gozer takes the cake.

"Are you a god?"

"Ahhh...nooo?"

"Then...DIE!"

Oh, on another note...

WHERE CAN I FIND SOME OLD-SCHOOL GHOSTBUSTERS EPISODES?!

I have all the episodes of Extreme Ghostbusters on tape (believe it or not, it really was an EXTREMELY good show, pardon the pun), and I have 2 of the released 3-ep collections (one with Drool The Dog-Faced Goblin as its headliner, and another with the episode where Winston plays baseball in the spirit world as the headliner), but no other eps. I'm particularly peeved, because one of my favorite eps was when Egon was possessed, and I had the ep on tape when I was, like, 5, but my aunt taped over it.

Vigo was the scariest to me. Gave me nightmares for weeks after I saw it in the theatre.

I went with Cthlulhu, but only because of the name, I'm not sure if it's Cthulhu or if they just used the name or what...

Anyone remember the cartoon episode where a giant monster who only comes out at night terrorizes the city and is later revealed to be the ghost of a former thief who could not rest in peace?

That thing caused some serious damage.

I never watched the cartoon, but Gozer almost fucked'em up. And Vigo was just a waste of a sequel.

Yeah, Sass, and the ghost of the only detective that could catch him was helping out the guys...

Methinks the thief's name was "Blackie."

You are correct Corey.

Blackie was the thief's name and that is one of my favorite Ghostbuster's episodes. Unfortunately I do not own the episode but I watched nearly episode of the cartoon series' and that episode sticks out with me.

The "Sleep Hollow" episode with the headless biker was pretty good too.

Dammit, why won't Dic/Columbia release DVDs of Ghostbusters?! Ninja Turtles and GI Joe, two cartoons that paled in comparison to Real Ghostbusters (sorry, but they DID), are making a comeback, and Ghostbusters fans have ALWAYS been around (why do you think that whenever the movies are played, they get pretty good ratings?), so why not just give us our fucking toons?!

AfuckingGreed! I loved the show, but for the life of me, don't remember much. I DO remember Vigo being mentioned in the series (the ep where Peter goes into the netherworld or something) and somekind of flying shark ghost that kicked the Stay Puft MarshMellow Man's ass. But that's it.

:::: wonders when Gozar was the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man ::::

As for who I voted for, the ghost that ate other ghosts scared me so much that I didn't sleep for a week. Plus, he hate SLimer and that's SACRILIDGE~!, goddamnit!

Gozer all the way. Vigo was a bitch with a plan but that's all. He was easily defeated by positive energy. Being happy ultimately depowered him and they busted him.

but Gozer . . . Gozer arrived with style, and Gozer wrecked shit. It (it wasn't really a girl or a man, it was whatever it wanted to be) very nearly defeated the boys by using one of Rey's most comforting childhood figures against them. That just 0wns.

I wish they'd put The Real Ghostbusters on DVD, too. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

EDIT: Daryl, I actually recently posted a thread about GB3's seeming official demise. Ramis made some statements in an interview that basically said that for various reasons from the studio to Bill Murray, it looks as if it will not happen now.

The Boogeyman used to scare the fucking piss outta me.

And that green guy...I have no idea what his name was, but he was green, and made this one kid do bad stuff until he started to turn into the same thing...he scared me too.

That said...Go Ghost-Eater.

Yes, as already mentioned, that was Blackie, from the episode titled, if memory serves me, "The Really, Really, Really Long Goodbye."

That episode is one of my faves too, and it just BLOWS me away still, to this day, because the writers did an entire episode right there that was one big tribute to Raymond Chandler. What little kid knows about Raymond Chandler? That animated series was very mature and ahead of its time.

BTW - SHAME on all of you who didn't vote for Cthulhu. You're going to vote for some pantywaist named Gozer over one of the Elder Gods???

That would be the Grundle (or is it GRENDEL or GRENDLE? ).

"Come out and play, child. Come out and play..."

See, this is one of the reasons I love Extreme Ghostbusters, and I think Vyce will agree with me here:

It acknowledged the previous show and the previous two movies.

There was an episode called "Return Of The Grundle," where it turns out Kylie Griffin's only friend as a kid, Jack, was one of the Grundle's victims. He ended up being cocooned until his metamorphis and evolution into a full-fledged Grundle was complete, and then broke free about 15 years later to wreak havoc. Good episode.

Hey, Vyce, you have any XGB tapes? I got all the episodes on tape save for half of the one that had the spirits of the 4 elements (where Eduardo journeyed into the Containment System's realm to retrieve Slimer, who was accidentally placed in there).

I have all of the episodes on tape except for "A Temporary Insanity". That's the one where the ghost fills in as a temp for the GB while Janine's away, right? That's the only one I don't have.

It was really an underrated show; a lot of hardcore RGB fans don't like the series, probably feeling that it was pissing on the original show. I don't. I think the show, on its own, was pretty damn good, and I wish that they had made more than just the 40 episodes.

It was really was great that they referenced the previous show; it only added to the show's charm.

Ah yes, LILITH...

That is, actually, my least favorite episode. Why? Because Lilith, in her true form, explains every move she does step-by-step. It's a Bond villain cliché, and I thought XGB was above that...

Gozer.

She was a supermodel!

Only joking, but she/it ruled all any nearly finished off the GBs when she first saw them ("are you a God?...") and then turned into a freaking marshmallow man.

And all this was AFTER opening the gateway to a shitload of ghosts to wreak havoc over NYc.
